As usual a spectacular novel narrated wonderfuly

Loved this book, Sanderson is my favorite author and rarely disappoints, I read steelheart, firefight and calamity as a kid (I skipped mitosis sry Mr Sanderson) and this new addition brings just as much joy to my adult self as it did to the kid I once was, thank you Brandon Sanderson and all contributing influences for fostering my love of reading my entire life.

Welcome back to the Reckoning!

Obviously if Brandon Sanderson touched it then strap in for a ride! He also had a co-author and from what I can see Steven Michael Bohls was outstanding. As usual, Macleod Andrews was impeccable with the narration. So dive in with zero hesitation fellow needs!

Fantastic writing. Amazing characters. Incredible narration. Epic book!

Different, but delicious!

This is a fantastic addition to the Reckoners series. While not quite as good as Steelheart, and the characters aren't quite as crisp as the prior series, if you liked Sanderson's previous work you'll love this. There is more violence in this book and a fair bit of gore toward the end of the story, so while it may be part of a Young Adult series, it may not be suited toward those who are quite young.

Additionally, some helpful non-spoiler information:

1) This book is set during the same time as the previous Reckoners book.
2) Most of the characters are new, but there are a few "guest appearances" that work very well.
3) The characters are nearly as enjoyable as the first series, but very different. This is no simple rehashing of the characters under different names.

Classic Sanderson

Loved it. Spectacular reading by Andrews! Got a little confusing 2/3 of the way but it ended really strong. Looking forward to the sequel.

Great book

Book was just as good as the previous trilogy. Only thing I didn’t like was the Narrator not because he didn’t do a good job MacLeod Andrews did great. My issue was the fact that it was a different story with completely different characters and the main character Jax had the exact same voice as the Main character from the previous three David. So i just keep thinking David was talking and it was Jax. Its kind of like the reverse of changing a narrator half way through the series where all the characters sound different and it throws you off except in this case all the new characters sound the same as the old and it throws you off.

Lux Reckoners Excellent

The problem with Sanderson’s work is that there is not enough of it. You can read all of it, and devour the most recent work with great pleasure, and she will walk away from the table hungry for more.

Delightful, intriguing, gripping story superbly read. Great fun, great depth.

I can’t reasonably complain that Sanderson doesn’t write enough. I’m so glad he does it. And my wife, and my kids, and my Inlaw kids, and my nephews and nieces, literate friends, etc. His books are the best gifts ever. This one joins the pantheon, it’s great. Thanks Sanderson. Well done.

A good addition to the universe

While it didn’t have the same feel as the other Reckoners novels, it worked for me. I’m looking forward to the possibility of additional novels in this series.
