'The perfect blend of cosy comfort and spice, just delicious!' Kiley Dunbar
I remembered my mum telling me that autumn was a chance for nature, and for people, to let go of anything that was holding them back…
Willow Connor has one shot to save her family’s farm – turning it into Birchbrook’s first ever pumpkin patch. There’s just one problem: she has exactly zero pumpkins and only six weeks to make it happen. Everyone in the close-knit town thinks she’s crazy, but she’s determined to prove them wrong.
Enter Dylan Henderson, a hotshot property consultant with a clipboard full of reasons why selling is the smarter choice. Determined to stand her ground, Willow makes him a bold offer – stay and watch her turn the farm around. To her surprise, he agrees.
Now, as Willow throws everything into making her pumpkin patch a success (even if it means buying every pumpkin in the county), she also finds herself learning a thing or two from Dylan – about business, about ambition… and maybe about love?
Will she save the farm and prove everyone wrong? And when the deal is up, will Dylan walk away – or has he found something worth sticking around for?
A cosy, small-town romance full of autumn vibes, opposites-attract chemistry and a guaranteed HEA! Perfect for fans of Laurie Gilmore, Lucy Score and Carrie Elks!

For me, the narration was split. O'Halloran's narrations of the female characters were good. There was plenty of inflection & voice changes to make the listener identify who the character was at the time. This was not the case with the narration of the male voices. Too many of the male characters sounded the same & they fell flat. Willow's dad did not sound like someone older. The only male voice I feel she performed well was that of Dylan.
Blurb:
Willow, loves for farm; Birchwood Tree has been her home & a place she loves best. Not only is she passionate about her home but she is full of passion about the autumn season. As Willow becomes aware of the trouble her farm is in, Dylan Henderson appears offering to buy her farm. Willow has no intention of that ever happening. Willow lands on an idea to create a pumpkin patch to draw people to the farm & raise money to save it. There is a sense of intensity, determination & creativity in Willow that she is an easy character to be drawn too.
As her vision comes to life, Willow tries to understand Dylan. She believed he was there to take the farm, yet it seems he is actually helping her to make it a successful. Again Walters’ creates such as easily to love character despite everything. The romance between Willow & Dylan develops slowly but there is intensity behind it.
Despite the lack in some areas of the narration, the story is still good and I would recommend listening.
