For fans of the Lovelight series and The Pumpkin Spice Café, this cozy and sexy romance follows a young event planner who returns to her family’s inn on an apple orchard to help run their Harvest Festival—only to find herself butting heads with the handsome son of the apple orchard’s owners.

Ellie Lawson’s city life was treating her just fine until a sour turn of events knocks her out in one fell swoop. Dumped by her boyfriend and fired from her event planning job, she is left with no choice but to return to her parents’ idyllic inn, nestled within a picturesque Honeycrisp orchard on Long Island. Anticipating a quiet hiatus in the attic apartment, she is instead met with Aiden, the stubborn, attractive son of the orchard owner who is currently occupying her planned refuge.

Forced together by circumstance, they find themselves not only roommates but also coworkers, when they’re put in charge by their parents of the orchard’s vital Harvest Festival, a lifeline for both the struggling orchard and the inn. Amidst the enchanting disorder of small-town life, Ellie and Aiden grapple with their conflicting values, burgeoning feelings, and an electrifying tension.

As Ellie discovers the unexpected charm of the life she left behind and Aiden learns there’s much more to Ellie than he’d first assumed, one fact remains: the future of the orchard and the inn depends on their unlikely collaboration.

Embark on a captivating journey of rediscovery, love, and the irreplaceable magic of small-town life.

3.5 Stars ⭐️ I had a hard time with the heroine. She made very judgmental comments. Then there was the whole dementia thing where she kept assuming everyone had dementia. She did eventually stop, but I was no longer invested.

Cute but Didn’t Like the Heroine

✨ The Honeycrisp Orchard Inn is the first book I’ve read by Valerie Bowman, and I really enjoyed it! 🍎📖 It gave me all the fall vibes, and now I’m ready to start baking—especially my famous baked apple pie 🥧🍂

I especially loved how Ellie and Aiden were in charge of planning the Harvest Festival, such an important event for the orchard and inn. The small-town charm and festive details made the story feel extra cozy. 🍁✨

I’ll definitely be reading more from this author—maybe she’ll even write one set around the holidays 🎄🤭🤞🏼

In general, I really liked this story. Well-written, Likeable characters. A nice slow burn of a romance.
Super cozy fall vibes. Lots of apples!

But there were several elements that felt out of place in a cozy fall romance, and more like the author trying to share her political beliefs which is not what I'm looking for in a cozy fall romance.

Numerous references to Only Fans which honestly is gross, and completely out of place. Not cozy. Scarecrows with cross-dressing activities. Rants about toxic masculinity, A mayor who is an 18 y.o. with a lesbian girlfriend?

I'm sure there are readers with this world view who will appreciate these elements added into the story, but for me it was a distraction that reduced the wholesome, cozy fall romance I was looking for.

It's also spicy for anyone looking for closed door romance. I just fast forwarded through those parts. Not a prude but looking for a Hallmark movie in a book.

Good, but…
