Publisher's Summary

"Love Worth Making is, hands down, the most practical, fun, and empowering book I've ever read on how to have a fabulous sex life in a commmitted relationship. It should be a must-read for every committed couple who wants to keep the spark alive for many years." (Christiane Northrup, MD, ob/gyn, and New York Times best-selling author of Goddesses Never Age: The Secret Prescription for Radiance, Vitality, and Wellbeing)

From one of the nation's top sex therapists comes a paradigm-shifting audiobook guide to thinking about and enjoying sex and intimacy in committed, long-term relationships.

These are astonishing times for sex. With a click of the mouse you can learn the names for sex acts your grandparents never knew existed. But are people any happier in bed? Probably not. Research from the Kinsey Institute suggests that 25 percent of American women in heterosexual relationships are markedly distressed about their sex lives.

There’s no shortage of audiobooks these days on sex technique. But that’s not what most people are interested in. What they really want is to have great sex in a committed relationship, in which case all the technical expertise in the world won’t help you very much. For that, you need to understand sexual feelings - how they operate, what rules they follow, and how they connect to the rest of who you are.

Dr. Stephen Snyder's unique approach has helped over 1,500 individuals and couples master the erotic challenges of long-term relationships. Integrating the latest research on human sexuality with compelling stories from his 30 years of experience working with individuals and couples, Love Worth Making will help people of all ages and backgrounds master their sexual feelings and enjoy them for life.

Game changer for my marriage

This book has been an invaluable resource for improving my marriage, and my sanity. It made the mystery of good sex not so mysterious and really changed my thinking in a lot of ways. So much more helpful than anything I've read online. “Life is difficult. Sex should be easy.” Think this might be my new motto. Highly recommend for all couples.

a real practical approach to sex in marriage

we all heard to go back to feeling like a teenager in love but the author actually tells you how and why to get back to that point. enjoy. I heard the author in a podcast interview on One Extraordinary Marriage or Sexy Marriage Radio.

Try “Come As You Are” instead

I found this writer’s perspective a bit condescending, especially regarding his description of a young woman who was his client. Midway through listening to this book I found out about the book Come As You Are, which is the title I would recommend instead for women looking for a more confident and fulfilling sex life. I returned this audiobook.

disappointing

I find therapy in general exhausting, tedious, and always lacking, far more work than it should be, I don't know why I keep hoping the next self help book will be different from the last. For once I'd like relationship therapists to just help struggling couples figure out if they should consciously uncouple instead of always starting from the assumption that all relationships and marriages should be "fixed.". Also I found the constant religious references very annoying. I highly recommend anything Esther Perel has written instead, she's the only therapist Ive ever read with advice that resonates with me.
