Almost as good as #1

But I think number 3 is going to be the best of them all. Idk what's so bad about joining a secret society. Totally sounds like fun, except for all the creeper jerks with weird, distasteful kinks. They'd have to go!
But I love that we learned more about each of the boy's backgrounds. They def didn't have great childhoods. But other than all that terrible stuff, it sounds great! Lol.
This book was fantastic! I love how each character is so different yet they all show a lot of depth. The audiobook narrators did excellent jobs! They really add so much to the story! Ah, I can't wait for number 3. Especially with the killer cliffhanger! So rude! Not really, I'm not a cliffhanger hater like some. It helps me remember what the next book is about if a lot of time went by. Overall... 9.5/10!

Reverse Harem, Dark High School,Bully Romance

This is a dark romance, high school romance, bully romance, reverse harem, romantic suspense, and contemporary romance. This is book 2 in the series, which must be read in order. In total there are 4 books currently in this series. Overall, the bullying is less in this novel. The guys Lincoln, Maverick, East, and Finley have changed their attitudes toward Octavia. There was, and is a reason the guys were trying to keep Octavia away. The guys just went about trying to force Octavia away in completely the wrong way. Octavia's cousin, Blair, still firmly hates her. Not sure why yet. Riley, I know why he dislikes Octavia from the last novel. Octavia's relationship with each of the guys develops. Some more than others. There are some pretty hot🔥 scenes and some scenes with multiple partners 😉. We see the guys having problems with their father's, who lord control over them, by way of the Knight's Society. I can't decide which father is worst 🤬! I hope eventually Octavia and the guys can get away and serve revenge against the father's! It seems the Knight's Society wants to hook their claws in Octavia. Again, I don't know why just yet. I haven't totally figured out the whole Knight's Society thing. I still think they had something to do with Stone's death. Octavia's stalker is still a problem and the identity has not been discovered, yet. This novel ends on a HUGE cliffhanger. I can not wait to read the next novel! That's all I'm willing to reveal about the ending. I'm still glad I happened upon this series. There's bullying, romance, drama, and I've yet to figure out all the mysteries.

WTF!!!!! did i just finished hearing. like nooooo you cant do this to us. now that one crazy cliffhangers there. that is so mean lily.
okay okay guys the series just keeps getting better as it goes on. But whos her stocker. is he just a regular crazy stocker or is he a knight. and why do the knights want her so badly to join. will she find her mother? will she find out if her dad was really murdered? will the boys find her in time before anything bad happens? omg so much. i cant wait for the next book to come out . i do hope soon. the narrator's did a really great job too.

Excellent 2nd book! Keeping me hooked!

Dang! I have no words! I am surprised and intrigued by this story! I love how well the author is delivering the suspenseful side. She sneaks plot points in all the time. I enjoy where this story is going as we get to know more and more about what is going on. The characters really opened up and we learned a lot more about the boys! This does have a darker side so beware if you have triggers.

I am eagerly looking forward to the next one to come out on audio. I did listen to this one on audio. This one has a wonderful cast performance. Heather Firth, David Black, Blake Lockheart, Gregory Salinas And Gideon Frost all did an amazing job and I LOVED listening to them!

I’m not sure how I liked this one even more than the 1st one!!!

OMG!!! This series is intense and addicting! The story moves quick and the narration is spot on. Bring on book 3!! Like I need it NOW!!

15 Hours of Action-packed Intensity & Steaminess!

It gets even better! Octavia Royal's gotten under their skin and not even the strongest of her tormentors could withstand her allure. One by one, they join her harem. First with Maverick, then Easton, Finley and finally Lincoln. I'm guessing Mav makes up for lost time because he's insatiable for his little -whore- (trigger warnings if you don't like dubcon roleplay). They really do worship the ground she walks on, and though that's not enough to forgive them of their past aggression, it's a start in the right direction.

I got my wish from my first review too: we get glimpses of the boys's trauma, each one more heart-breaking than the last. TKS is truly corrupted and needs to be stopped! It's more insidious and creeptastic than I originally thought. The BFF and her boyfriends are a comforting presence, providing much needed balance against all the bad that's happening in V's chaotic life. I'd like it if V and the guys were one step ahead instead of relying on reactionary tactics. If only they'd have done more to beef up the security against the stalker and figured out a solid game plan to take down the Knights. I think the Saints should team up with the Donovans and pool resources!

The narration was top-knotch. I've discovered that I really enjoy Gregory Salinas's naughty and sinful Mavric. Gideon Frost portrays the caring and more human Saint brother East to a T. Blake Lockheart's commanding performance of Lincoln gave me goosebumps. David Black's Finley was unique: it takes a while to get used to his drawn out sentences. Couldn't get enough!!

Wow, book 2 does not hold back any punches, that's for sure! We are put on a wild ride and I, for one, didnt want to get off. I loved the rollercoaster we got from the guys and Octavia, some made me want to shake them silly or through them around a ring, but was happy to see all got on board by the end of this book! The sexy times....oh the sexy times! Getting the individual time with Octavia was fabulous (I mean so were the group activities hahaha), but seeing the guys finally come to the conclusion that they can't protect Octavia the way they have been, they needed to own up to what they had been doing and let her in, was amazing to watch. The transformation definitely gave us all whiplash but was done really well and I was eating it up!

Finn made me want to reach through my audio app to hug him. The things he has been through, we get some hints in book 1 but finally get some answers in book 2. Maverick is so cheeky and funny, but one of the darkest characters in the book. I love his loyalty, his unabashedness, and his take no prisoners attitude. I usually don't like that kind of character but somehow he charmed his way into my heart. I was surprised by how frustrated I was with East in this one, but it made sense once Octavia got him to open up and they were clear with each other. I am interested to see how he handles the big secret he has been keeping! And Linc....I couldnt stand him, I can understand why he thought he was doing Octavia a favor/doing the right thing, but that is too much on one person and his attitude was grating on my nerves most of the time (good job to the author for making me then fall for him by the end of book 2 haha). I loved how he only could keep the darkness away when sleeping next to Octavia. I loved how he needed her when the darkness got to be too much at the gala. His confession/finally giving in to what he wanted and needed was so welcomed. These scenes with Octavia and her guys 1-1, were some of the highlights of the book. OH and some of the guys who didnt appear to be Dom/kinky who turned out to have some was refreshing haha.

Storyline was so engaging. more baddies added in the mix, good news for Indie and her sexy boyfriend front. I think I saw maybe they get their own story and I CANNOT WAIT! I love her antics but definitely am suspicious after some of her comments so we shall see. I love Smithy and how much he dotes on Octavia and the guys. I am nervous about his beau, probably gonna be a bad mole. Enjoyed the paintball moment, was so sad her Impala kept getting one thing after another done to it, am definitely freaked out by her stalker, and loved all the random cameos by her musical connections. I am trying to figure out who could be the stalker but I am not anywhere close to being right I bet. The ending of this book was killer, so hopefully book 3 isn't too far from audio releasing haha (I know, book 2 hasn't been out long. I am just impatient after that ending!!!).

Narration was done really well, I think my only complaint is I did not enjoy Finley's narrator as much as I did the others. I think because he didnt say much in book 1 I didnt notice it, but he finally got time to shine and it was not my favorite. I don't know what is was, maybe the intonation/accent that was given, or the timing, but sometimes I was taken out of the story because of it. The others did a remarkable job, no complaints on my end! I would still give the narration a 4.5/5 (rounded up to a 5) but Finley's narrator I think needs to make some adjustments. I do listen at 1.5X speed.

My heart is pounding

This is the first series that I'm reading/listening to by Lily Wildhart. The first book left me with so many questions. This book has answered one, it is a RH story! And the author truly redeemed the guys for the most part. We got more of the story regarding the guys lives. It's heartbreaking. I still love Octavia and Indi's best friend relationship! That cliffhanger! UGH! Cannot wait for the next book.

All of the narrators are excellent. They are perfect for their roles. Their performances are so passionate. The book rolls like a movie in my head. Having multiple narrators adds so much to this audiobook!
