OK

The story was good and different but slow. I had to speed it up to get through it. But I like faster paced stories. It did have it's funny moments.

Well written & enjoyable

This my second Jude Ouvrard book, and I have to say she is a very talented author with the ability to captivate her readers/listeners. Lost & Rich is one of those stories that you find yourself savoring every moment of it. The storyline and character development are stellar, authentic, and convincing. Tia Johnson's narration captures the essence of the narrative and the characters, breathing life into the story. Overall, this was a fabulous listen, and I strongly recommend this audiobook.

Humble, sweet and short

This was a cute story about a widow who won the lottery and promised herself to not let it change her. It was a nice change to see someone stay humble and true to herself. Narration was good but the sound quality wasn’t that great. A bit of an echo and sometimes could hear background noise. First time hearing this narrator and she was pretty good. Great for a quick listen.

Good story Narration not so much

This is a non-bias review. The story was interesting. I like how the hero wasn't the one I thought it was. The heroine was a little whiny. I would have liked more chemistry between the main characters.
The narrator did a good job. The only thing I didn't like was, she sound like she was in a tin can reading the story. She needs a better studio.

Good Story

The story was good but slow. There were funny moments. Did not expect the hero to be Mr. Pulley but I enjoyed the twist. The narrator was good but it sounded like she was reading in a closet. Will definitely try more books by the author. I requested this free audiobook and am giving an honest review voluntarily.

love and lottery!

What would you do if you were widowed and won the lottery? Gracie finds herself alone, wealthy and unhappy at her job. She quits, but now has too much time on her hands. Hookups and shopping just are not doing it for her. When she is given the opportunity to take a cruise with her perfect match, she jumps at the chance! Austin was Gracie's boss. Disgruntled and tough, he drives his employees crazy. But with Gracie, it's his attraction to her that makes him even tougher. Now that she's gone, he will do just about anything to get her attention. Will he be able to catch her eye? I enjoyed this look at life from Gracie's perspective. Austin is just like a big teddy bear for me. His gruff exterior is his armor. It's a fun, quirky journey to finding their chance at happiness.

Tia Johnson has a good voice and pace. It's my first listen by her and I found her voices to be good for the characters, and she transitioned well between male and female. The one thing I did find is that there is a hollowness or tinny sound to the narration which at times is distracting.

Love this story!

I loved this story! The characters have a wonderful relationship with each other (Well all except for her boss). When that first kiss came?? Cue the tummy flutters..actually I think they arrived anytime they had scenes together after the accident. I really loved Austin. He became more human as the story progressed and I was pleased and surprised to see that happen to him.

This story was simply wonderful! The characters really had some growth to them.
I did listen to this on audio. Tia Johnson did a good job.

Money doesn’t buy happiness

We’ve got the main character that feels like her life has stalled out. She’s a young widow living with cats and hates her boss. She’s fortunate enough to come into some money and decides to change things up a bit. She soon realizes she is missing what’s right in front of her and the money isn’t what is going to change her life.

I appreciate growing with the main character throughout the story, but it was oddly rushed yet moved too slow at the same time. It was an overall HEA but the low quality of the recording was a bit distracting. The romance was sweet and the overall story left a big grin on my face.

Terrific Story & Listen🎧 A Heartfelt Delight!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it is well written and well told. Jude Ouvrard created interesting storylines that grabbed my attention right from the start and held it straight to the end. The characters are complex and well developed, they are realistic and easy to relate to. I adored the lead character, Gracie, she had a great disposition and personality, despite all she had been through. She handled her arsehole of a boss with kid gloves, took his bossiness, arrogance and alphatude with a grain of salt, not letting it get to her. She had the best best friend too, I loved those two together. Gracie’s life turns around after she hits lotto, first things first she quits her job, then starts to make life changes and sets out to find what she wants. Austin Pulley misses Gracie, he tries to talk to her but she does not give him the time of day. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is plotted out nicely with plenty of drama, a bit of angst, some great humor, lots of heartfelt moments and the start of a great romance. Jude Ouvrard, thank you for another great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

I listened to the Audible edition, Tia Johnson did a nice narrating and bringing the characters and their story to life. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧
