very enjoyable listen

Bought this one on a bit of a whim and wasn't too sure what to expect, but it went down well with me.

well narrated and a enjoyable not-too-serious story. I'll look forward to book 2

I enjoyed the book when I read it, but the audio book is super.

When I read this book it was fun. Quirky and interesting characters who weren't always what they seemed. The adventures were exciting. Listening adds a new dimension. The language is great out loud. Frees up the imagination to be part of the Blackthorne world.

I had a great time listening to the this book. Would recommend to everyone who likes a good story

A Low-Fantasy Gem

The world and the people felt real and lived in. The historical setting was believable and had a lot of good detail. The fantasy was handled in a fun way that allowed the world to be influenced in a way that felt aligned with what real people may have believed. Admittedly there was a little Mary Sue in the main character and some of the townsfolk but it was easy to forgive for a fun and cute story

Great story and storytelling!!

There was a lot of everything that is good in a tale. Loved the characters and the sense of the people and the places. Narration was excellent. I recommend this audiobook without reservation!!
