Call me what you want: Bad Boy Next Door. Trouble. That Kid Who Can’t Do Anything Right. When Willow moves into my neighborhood, nothing should have happened. She’s geeky. Shy. A true wallflower. Willow is a good girl. Too good for me. And how the hell was I supposed to know that she’s related to Loren Hale - yeah, that douchebag celebrity that lives on my street. The same guy I've been pranking by spray painting vulgar words on his mailbox and worse. Much worse. I'm cursed. Simple as that. People who are cursed break everything they touch. And yet...I still want to touch her.

Tourists flock to Mistpoint Harbor to snap photos of the famous lighthouse, browse the Museum of Curses & Curiosities, and claim their “I survived the Most Cursed Town in America!” pin. But for me, growing up in Mistpoint Harbor wasn’t a vacation. Not when locals have a deep-seated loathing for my family. They hate my dad. They hate my older brothers. Am I friends with JP Cane? Ha! That's laughable. Besides the fact that he’s adopted some far-fetched notion from the movie When Harry Met Sally that says men and women can't be friends and work together, it’s safe to say we're not friends. He's annoyingly loud, obnoxiously handsome, and has made an art out of poking all my hot buttons...multiple times a day. So you can imagine how disgruntled I am when I not only have to fly to San Francisco with him for work, but stay in the same penthouse. Yup, we're sharing the same air, 24-7. We're talking full-fledged working roommates.

Triple Falls wasn’t at all what it seemed, nor were the men that swept me under their wing. But in order to keep them, I had to be in on their secrets. Secrets that cost us everything to keep. That’s the novelty of fiction versus reality. You can’t re-live your own love story, because by the time you’ve realized you’re living it, it’s over. At least that was the case for me and the men I trusted my foolish heart to. Looking back, I’m convinced I willed my story into existence, due to my illness, and all were punished.

It's OK...
...if you don't mind unrealistic, fantasy-like story lines.
For the most part, I found the characters annoying and suffocating (seriously, they can't even go to the bathroom without the entire group having a conniption). Of course, every character is the most famous, beautiful, rich, talented, brilliant, well-endowed, [enter unrealistic noun/adj here]. Don't forget codependent, antisocial, and boring.
Lots of unrealistic drama that just never seems to end. They literally can't leave the house without almost dying or some terrible event happening. No wonder their idea of a "fun" night is sitting around staring at each other (which always ends in a fight or tears). But since they aren't wearing bras, it's fun and crazy!!!
Some topics in the book should have been researched more, as it was clear the authors didn't have experience or knowledge with what they were referencing.
As for the narrators, I usually like Jessica Almasy. Stephen Dexter was fine, but I sometimes felt like I was being screamed at or his voice was super dramatic for no reason.
Some parts of the book are cute/funny, and Ryke was okay when he wasn't being a control freak (alpha, I think they called it). Maybe worth reading if you're low on inventory, like me.

I love this book! I love Ryke!!!! Truthfully I wish that he ended up with someone else even though there were no other Calloway sisters for him to end up but Daisy is truly my least favorite sister I want to strangle more of them time then not! But regardless of her not being my favorite I love this story and I love their love story mainly because of Ryke of course ♥️

Ryke and Daisy have come a long way.
I keep typing and then backspacing, then typing again. I'm not sure where I want to go with this review. #Raisy is my least favorite couple of the Core 6, but at the end of this book, when Sulli was born, a major soft spot bloomed in my heart for them. Maybe I needed them to become parents for me to really appreciate them, which is weird because usually I'm all about being childfree. But I love the Like Us series, which is where it all started for me with this family, so I guess it only makes sense that seeing the start of the next generation makes me happy.
There was a point in this book where I had to set it aside, and I wasn't sure if I'd be coming back to it. If you've read it, you'll know what I'm talking about. I decided I wanted to see it through, though, so I came back to it, but I ended up skipping past a few chapters- my heart just couldn't handle what was coming.
After that it all seemed to move pretty quickly, and I really enjoyed the last part of the book.
I do really like how much Ryke and Daisy care for each other. I've always liked how protective Ryke is over Daisy, even before they were a couple. While the age difference would usually be a bit of a no go for me, especially with how young Daisy was at first, it really didn't bother me as much with these 2 as it normally would.
So this series has done a good job of flipping some of my normal "dislikes" on their head!
I loved the epilogue! And I can imagine how I would have felt so bereft reading it, thinking that was it for this family. But being so late to the game with this series, it just makes me more excited to revisit the Like Us books again, and Willow and Garrison's duet. I'm listening to a different book now, but will be jumping into Some Kind of Perfect next.
I love Stephen Dexter. He makes for a great Ryke. It was cute listening to him voice the little ones. Jessica Almasy is a good Daisy. I did feel like sometimes she was overplaying the part, though, with just how she projected certain sentences in certain scenes. But other times it worked. Her voice is what I'll associate with Daisy from now on, though!

This was a long book, but I'm glad I read and listened to it. I did end up getting a bit impatient and skimmed ahead, so I knew about a lot of the major events before I went back to listening to the audio book while reading. The reason I'm impatient is because I want to hurry up and start listening to the Like Us series again. Once again I don't have a whole lot to say about this book.
- Spoilers -
I think Ryke and Daisy's story was particularly beautiful in this book. It was very clear just how much they love each other and were meant to be despite all the odds against them (past and present), such as family, the media, and their age. Their wedding was absolutely beautiful and I couldn't picture a more amazing wedding for them. The moment Daisy started walking towards Ryke had me tearing up.
The struggles they went through of trying to have a child was rather sad and you could see the longer it went without results the more tired, frustrated, and sad they became about it. So it was even more clear just how much they treasure their daughter and how much joy she brought into their lives after she was born.
I loved seeing Lo push Ryke to a better place after his accident as it really showed just how much he cares about his brother.
(possible Spoilers for the Like Us series)
I find it ironic that Lo made a comment about how he would act towards a guy who had tattoos, swore a lot, was older, and was interested in having a relationship with his daughter, when that is actually happening in the Like Us series. I just found it a bit amusing that his comment and fear actually came true. It also sort of applies to Maximoff as well since Farrow has tattoos, is a bit older than Maximoff, and I'm pretty sure he also swears sometimes as well.
(End of Spoilers for the Like Us series)
*Narration*
I have mixed feelings about the narration with this book. On one hand I thought they did a wonderful job and heightened my enjoyment and the emotions I felt throughout the book compared to when I was just reading it. On the other hand there were a few things that bothered me about. With Ryke's narrator, he for some reason made Sam sound like a cowboy/southerner (sometimes) and Garrison's voice sounded off at times as well, or at least not like I had imagined his voice to sound like. With Daisy's narrator, she made Lily and sometimes Rose sound rather harsh, like how Samantha Callaway sounds, but it wasn't all the time. She also made Connor sound rather harsh and snappy as well at times, most notably during the scene when they were with Daisy at the doctor's office. An issue that I had with both narrators is that sometimes the tone of voice didn't match how I thought it should sound, like when Connor was asking Garrison why he got into coding during the Halloween party. But the good things I noticed with the narrators is that they made me feel a lot more emotional during certain scenes compared to when I read it without the audio. Like during the moment in the car when Daisy was internally freaking out about Ryke dying and Lo started breaking down as well brought tears to my eyes. And the emotions both narrators put in their voices during certain moments really made me feel a lot for the characters. The audio also helped with my impatience and understanding of the story. So that is why I'm a bit conflicted in how I feel about the audio book.
Overall, this was a good book with a lot of emotions. I loved seeing all six characters finally reach peace and happiness along with seeing just how much they've grown compared to the first book. I am glad I read this book and I highly recommend this series for other people to read and listen to.

Brilliant series
Following the journey of the Calloway sisters has been an unbelievable ride. Both Ryke and Daisy have been a favourite couple from the beginning so hearing their story continue was bound to be full of epic adrenaline, adventure, mischief..some heartbreak, swearing and ofcourse loads of love. Both narrators did an incredible job and they gave the story so much more depth and feeling. I have absolutely fallen in love with these characters from the very beginning of Loren and Lily's story and have followed thier triumps and tragedies and have watched them all grow into an incredible extended family unit. Brilliant series, I would highly recommend.
