YOU WOKE SOMETHING IN ME

The story is chef’s kiss. The character development is amazing. Narration is amazing. Probably my 2nd favorite this year. It’s not as “dark” as I thought it would be, but it was so toxic… I loved it.

My top 3 of all time book

I really love this book I read it multiple times religiously. I’ve been spamming your insta account so it can be an audio book too. I checked regularly but stopped for a while. Today somehow I remembered to check again and here it is 😍. The voice narration is great but I would’ve like it if Juliette had an English accent to bring more authenticity. But the narrator still did a solid narration. 10/10

Most incredible book i have ever read

I adored absolutely every part about this book. I have never found a book that brought genuine tears to my eyes. I thought I had a pretty strong rating of all the books i’ve ever read in my life but this one easily takes the number 1 spot of the best book I have EVER read. The emotions, the characters, the backstories, ABSOLUTELY IMMACULATE.

Great Story

The Story was great. The narration gets a 4, only because a story set in England NEEDS British narration.

Having said that, I couldn't stop listening

Not the usual haters-to-lovers

You don't have the usual unbalanced power dynamics where one MC dominates in this book Both the main characters could stand there ground. I found this really refreshing as I kinda bought this book by mistake. I really hope to see more from this author!

I found the performance lacking as it repeatedly didn't follow the written expression. It was also a bit hard differentiating between the characters.

Unexpected!

This book had glowing review on tik tok. I was not disappointed. There were areas where the dialogue felt a little young but I thoroughly enjoyed the dynamic of all the characters. This was completely worth it!

Outstanding !

Perfection! I love this story. A well told story representing women loving women relationships. Definitely recommend.

BEAUTIFUL! but….

The story was absolutely amazing but, in my opinion, the narration needs HELP. With it being set in the UK, I think it should been done by an English narrator or with a British accent. It needs the most help though, specifically when it comes to the 🌶️ scenes. The entire time, it sounded as if the narrator was just reading the lines and not actually trying to portrait/embody the moment. Narrating certain lines in a normal speaking tone when they were supposed to sultry, pleaded, whispered, or gasped…..really killed all the author’s hard work on those scenes for me.

Juliette is A Queen

Loved this book. If you love wlw enemies to lovers, this one is for you. It has a good main and supporting cast with fun character interactions. Juliette is a rare instance of a bitchy love interest done right. It was entertaining to see Juliette’s and Addy’s toxic relationship develop into one where they’re both head over heels for one another. If I had to list one con, I’d say the dialogue gets a little repetitive at times, as the plot likes to introduce drama a lot.
