Starting over is hard. Falling for her gorgeous butch roommate might make it impossible.

When a tall, stunning butch protects Mira from her ex-boyfriend at the club—and offers her a safe place to stay—Mira should be relieved. Not flustered. She’s not into women.

Yet this tough electrician with curves for days makes Mira’s heart race like never before.

But Isabel, wounded by grief, forces Mira to keep her distance. Until Mira’s desperate to win a union election at work—and only Isabel has the experience to teach her how.

Soon they’re lingering over dinner, teasing each other as the apartment heats up. And Isabel is making her coffee every morning, hanging her shelves, giving her smoldering looks before bed…

But Mira can’t afford temptation. Not after living with her nightmare ex.

No matter how well Isabel takes care of her…or how much Isabel needs healing, too.

She can’t risk her freedom—or her heart.

Make Room for Love is a steamy slow-burn romance starring a trans woman discovering she’s bi and finding her happily ever after.

I felt the epilogue was rather lacking. overall it was a decent story, and it's nice seeing trans representation, both in having a trans lead as well as a narrator, but the character growth felt weak. For how much they cared about each other, they didn't seem to grow much closer after the initial developments. if anything, they grew solidly distant from each other and called it good enough. I can respect that a realistic depiction of a romantic relationship would have some of the initial passion cool off, but not that much...

disappointing ending

First, let me say I love the representation in this book! It was quite a slow burn, but I don't think Mira and Isabel would've worked otherwise. They were both going through their own trauma and they had a lot to adjust to. They had to create a safe space for each other as roommates, then as friends, and finally as lovers. Oh, and the spice?! - 🔥🌶❤️‍🔥 Personally, I felt like this was the "chicken noodle soup" story I needed this winter.

Nicky Endres & Natalie Naudus did a great job narrating! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

An enthralling journey of two wounded soul while the themes of love and loss resonate deeply. Highly recommended!

Beautiful story!

This was a slow, I repeat, slow burn romance, but once these two got together, it was so with the wait. The doctoral student still learning about herself and the electrician and union worker who always takes care of others made a sweet pair—love these characters, and adored the way that they teach each other about love, relationships (and organizing).
And how did it have me crying at the end?

Sweet and steamy—and not all fluff.
