Good story, but that narrator….
I enjoyed the characters and their stories in this book. Each one had a distinct story and I wasn’t always able to guess where it was going! That said, i almost abandoned it because of the narrator. I actually worried about her at one point because her breaths between sentences sounded almost wheezy. Her voicing was very inconsistent - two young (adult) men often had the high, shrill voices of children. It was her Dutch accent that nearly sent me off, though. It sounded much more of a speech impediment rather than an accent. I liked the story enough to hang with it, though.

Annoying character Voices (narator)
Stopped listening because of annoying narator (voices for different characters)
Storyline not too great either

I have loved a couple of Leigh's books, but could not get into this one.
