I stopped and started this more than 3 times

She is a very annoying character. I really want to love these, honestly I do... so I keep trying but Skylar makes it very difficult. And I'm not basing this off a hard choice she made.. it's her in general.

He never stopped the chase

What is liked was the most was the narration loved the slow burn of the story. I totally recommend this book.

I can’t stand Skyler

Skyler is soo annoying & selfish.. I love Brandon I wish his voice was more involved.. but Skyler is getting more annoying as the books keep going

Such a silly girl

Skylar was so naive and stupid. She aggravates me and acts like she is above all. Her father is an addict and she does not deserve Brandon. Oh how I wish Brandon would leave her. She has mommies issues and daddy issues. I couldn't do it and I wanted to slap her through the phone.

The Second Book Redeemed the Awful First

When I reviewed the first book in the series, I gave it a low rating because I could not stand Skyler or Brandon. Both of them just got on my nerves, especially Skyler because she was so ungrateful.

This book surprised me because I liked it very much. In fact, it took me about a day and a half to finish it. Skyler wasn’t as annoying in this book and I totally get the love they have for each other, even though a lot of times it seemed more like lust.

There were a lot of shocking moments and the last 45 minutes of the book made me really sad for both characters. I’m looking forward to the conclusion of the story. The only thing that I wish about this book is that we could have listened to Aaron Shedlock more other than the prologue and epilogue. CJ Bloom did an incredible job.

YES !!

Listening to CJ and Aaron was like watching a film of this book. These characters are complicated and emotional this audiobook brought that across loud and clear.

Woah!!!

Predictable until - OMG the very end draws you in!!! Most of the story is “we can’t be together” “I love him but I can’t be with him,” blah, blah, blah. So once they do get together (not really a spoiler ok!) things go along, it’s lovely and nice but still predictable. Then The Big Secret (also not really a spoiler here) - the reveal happens exactly as you might expect when it comes down to it, but AFTER is when it gets interesting!!!! I wasn’t sure I’d be able to invest more time into book 3, but now, after listening to the very end?? I’m hooked!!! I HAVE to find out what happens next!!!

I am so in love with Brandon and Skyler! They are fire you guys! Going back to the last book that ended on a cliffy (spoiler alert!!! this one ends on a cliffy too) it doesn't have a complete wrap up in this book.... yes you find out what happens with it, but there is a lot more to it that really doesn't get touched on until the end of this book and the complete wrap up in in the 3rd book! But these 2 are 100% worth the wait and drama it takes to get there!

WTF IS HER DEAL???

Love Brandon but Skylar is an immature coward… “we have to be honest with each other!”.. oh, except for me. I don’t have to be… I’m too scared! 🙄 I can’t believe he gives her so many chances. I want to punch her! LOL. Story drags a bit, especially the million times she could come clean but doesn’t. FRUSTRATING. (Or maybe that’s the intent?!) Anyway- almost done with this book, but almost quit several times. I’m not a quitter tho, I just hope she doesn’t suck as bad in the next one. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Narration

I’m really disappointed that the narration of this story was misleading. The male narrator for this story spoke for 5 minutes. Once at the beginning and against the end. That was it. In my opinion, it was a waste to have him even included.
