A so-so audio book

Terrible
This was the most worthless language course. I dont understand how one can understand anything without having prior knowledge of the language. Its more like 1001 rather than 101. But the most ridiculous part was the curiously odd phrases that they chose to teach: very random sentences that are rarely used in real life and quite bizarre. I am more perplexed than annoyed.

fantastic selection of vocabulary
I listened and listened for the duration of the audiobook and was blown away. these hundred words and examples were practical and great for listening and reviewing. this is definitely a way to strengthen your vocabulary and fluency of the language.

Good but you need a subscription to get written content.
The book is clear and has some good phrases in it. However to get more than the first three chapters in written form you must subscribe to Russian Pod 101.
For people wanting speech only this is great.

A really good way to learn some vocab, for a beginner at least. I wish they would do more of those books without any pointless English talk in between the Russian words.

Great vocab book for basics
What made the experience of listening to Learn Russian - Word Power 101 the most enjoyable?
Perfect for drilling those colours, numbers, body parts, food and animal names. Great with the PDF to get the correct pronunciation. A good book.

Not for beginners
This is not very useful to beginners. It doesn’t explain the grammar behind the sentences & word selections, specifically the gender & case specific words & when/why they were used. A lot of the words are spoken too fast for a beginner to be able to correctly replicate & likely impossible to remember.
