Perfect for acquisition of functional Afrikaans!

The foundational language concepts within this book are well-suited to beginners like myself. I've been wanting to learn some of this dialect for a long time as I have a few close friends who speak it at home. It was great to be able to dive in and cover all basics, without being thrown into overly complex dialogue. It is a fantastic listen, paced appropriately and well-developed to engage new learners. I didn't feel overwhelmed by the content and came out with basic functional knowledge of Afrikaans.

This book is a valuable tool for learning the African language for beginners. The method will create memory paths which is the starting point for learning the language essentials. You also utilize muscle memory physically that involves your mouth and tongue. The various areas of learning include counting basic numbers from one to twenty, naming many common food items such as fruits and vegetables, and emotions, colors, and words associated with school and days of the week. You will have a foundation to then more easily learn grammar and structure of sentences. There is a download PDF to assist as well. As you become fluid with vocabulary through repetition and memorization you will be on track to understand and be understood in fuller sentences. Your proficiencies will allow you to further learn grammar, verbs and more clearly communicating with native speakers. Use this recurringly to benefit as it’s designed.
