Publisher's Summary

Essence best-selling author Michelle Stimpson crafts the inspiring tale of a strong woman juggling independence with her desire for a family. Single mother Peaches Miller is rattled when her fiancé gets a promotion that would require they move far away. Then, her son’s father comes back into her life. But Peaches isn’t sure either man can make her happy—or whether she needs any man at all.

truths and trials

Thank God for someone praying the gap for us. Perfect reminder of how God is always waiting for our return. Well written and we'll told.

Unexpected!!

I was surprised at the downward spiral Peaches experienced, but I'm glad that is all worked out for her good. It just displays the power of God.

A must read (listen)

Michelle Stimpson is climbing the ladder of literature. Describes the levels of difficulty that come along with disobedience and not being under the umbrella of safety with the Holy Spirit. My sheep shall know my voice and another they will not follow... John 10:27

Hard Listen So Far

At the point of this review, I have not yet completed the audio book. Throughout this story I find myself wondering, what will it take? When will Peaches break, what will finally — FINALLY — cause her to let go of her pride and truly trust God? I first learned of Ms. Stimpson through LaShondra’s story, Boaz Brown. The stark contrast in the two characters, their personalities and individual walks with Christ almost make me feel like I’m listening to a work from two different writers. Perhaps that simply speaks to versatility, that Ms. Stimpson is so obviously capable of creating two such disparate yet similar characters, and breathing such life into them that they seem real. I do indeed find myself wanting to bop Peaches over the head and ask: “girl, IS you crazy?” But mostly I find myself pushing through to the end simply to know how her story ends, hoping it will be triumphant. First, in her personal relationship and fellowship with Christ. Then her relationships with her son, her man, and her mother. C’mon Peaches!!! Leave your ALL on the altar and trust HIM!!!!! Hoping that by the end I’ll be able to turn those figurative cartwheels for her while screaming, yes girl!! Yes, Yes, YAAASSSSSSSSS!

Great Book!!!

I really liked how it portrayed what can happen when you choose your own will versus Gods will. This was a very good book. Keep up the great work in the Lord!!

I thought this would be a great book on the strength of Patricia r floyd......I was wrong. it's just really boring. no scandal no drama or anything....unless it happens at the end. I can't bring myself to finish it.
