Being the girlfriend of a successful rapper isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Rhythm Baker, a successful occupational therapist, held it down for Raheem, her boyfriend of three years, without much complaining. With their connection unknown and instant attraction fueled by lust, a one-night stand becomes inevitable. Though she thought it was over, Rhythm and Channing continue to run into each other, and feelings become just as inevitable as the night of passion they shared. Complications arise when they discover that Channing is in fact Raheem’s new producer and Rhythm is his ex.

Though their entanglement is messy, Rhythm and Channing’s connection only grows deeper as they navigate the potential fallout that’s sure to come. With Raheem unwilling to let go or do right, Rhythm is ready to move on and be happy, but will the solace she finds in Channing’s presence be ruined once their relationship comes to the light?

I love stories of black women being loved right and well.. Rhythm is probably one of my favorite herions...

PERFECT LOVE STORY

This book was every pull it of amazing! 😩😍 I love this book! The author outdid herself with this one. I look forward to reading more of her books.
This is the first book I’ve read in years. I was bored working nights and said I need to find a book to read and stumbled upon this on. ❤️❤️❤️

I couldn’t not get enough

Loved everything about this book - didn’t want it to end too fast but couldn’t stop listening. Read the damn book and thank me later.

Beautifully written

Beautifully written story but for an audible book, the narrators should have been different.in the beginning they sounded as if they were a bit nervous…..but picked it up in the end.

It took me too long to read this story!!!
Kimberly's pen game is always amazing and this was no different.

I loved this story and I loved the full circle from the beginning to the end. Rhythm had someone who did not hear her but surprisingly found someone who did. I was yelling at the end with Channing's speech, "This is what it means to acknowledge your woman!" Raheem did not get it because he was too selfish.

The narraration is what took me so long to finally listen. They both grew on me. They were okay.

I love a get back story!

Even though I thought other things would happen, it was still a good enough story. I loved Channing’s character. The sex scenes were a little cringe though.

I love how the characters portrayed! It showed the characters as successful people and represented the black community well.

So full of love and emotion .Was so happy for Rhythm getting what she deserved !

I really like the story. Now them narrators were awful! The lady sounds like a new anchor. She reading a story with flare and she putting the er on MF cursed words. The arguing with her voice was awful. I stayed because the book itself was good. I would’ve preferred a hard copy of this one.

Great story

Liked the overall story but the narrators sounded a bit cringey and AI ish. Nevertheless I pushed through and it was a good story.
