International bestselling author James Byron Huggins delivers Last Hunt, the third and final book in the Hunter Saga. Nathaniel Hunter has faced nightmares most men can’t imagine. In Alaska’s frozen wilderness he confronted a primordial killer. On England’s haunted moors he fought a beast born of legend. Each time he walked away scarred but unbroken. Now the battle comes to his own doorstep.

Scipio Dante, the brilliant, ruthless mind behind the experiments that created those monsters, has perfected a serum that transforms men into savage, unstoppable predators. Backed by limitless wealth and a private army, he will stop at nothing to rid the world of its greatest threat: the hunter who has foiled him twice before.

From his remote mountain cabin, Hunter must prepare for the ultimate confrontation. The wilderness he calls home bristles with danger; the predators he respects may soon turn against him. To survive, he’ll need every weapon at his disposal, every ally he can trust, and every ounce of his primal fury. The world’s last true hunter is about to face his final, most terrifying prey.

I've read most if not all of Huggins books. One of the main reasons I bought them all over the years and have recently rebought many as audiobooks was because I remembered that Huggins was a professing Christian. which is one thing that was kind of annoying is how full of foul language the books are for being written by a Christian. I don't expect them to be perfectly clean but I'm disappointed at how often he violated the third commandment using the Lord's name so callously in vain. Even worse was Hunter talking about the Bible and getting ready to read the Puritan Jonathan Edwards and seeming to know much of theology but when he described how men are judged he described it as being weighed on a scale as though you're good deeds must outweigh your bad. whereas the Bible does not teach that and even the most rudimentary Christian understanding is that salvation is by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ and his finished work on the cross. No amount of good deeds can save and no amount of evil deeds will damn, if the sinner, which we all are, humbles themselves and repents and trust Christ. That person will be saved. A Christian need not even bring in the gospel to their writing of fictional books. But it is very frustrating to see them misrepresent biblical truth when they write about it. In short violence, blood and guts, etc. Is fine but ditch the bad theology and keep the Lord's name out of the characters mouths. Orherwise a decent trilogy if it were from a pagan author. But Huggins should have done better.

Decent finish for a trilogy
