ms. reading’s narration work is very fine but i had to take long breaks because the upspeak (raising of voice toward end of words/phrases/sentences) was almost intolerable. a personal pet peeve and find the mannerism irksome in short bursts and loathesome when exposed to it for longer duration. that being said, the anne rice cannon is a classic of the genre and i wanted to revisit the stories before streaming the new interpretations - which i understand modify the story quite a lot. i’ll avoid ms. reading’s narrations in the future.

much better than the 1st

This book gives sp much more to the story. A history of characters, details of why things are, to me, this was better than the 1st book.

Intense

This is such an intense story. I loved reading this, and the narrator is just fantastic.

wonderful to experience. Anne has a gift for perspective. Looking forward to Taltos. Loved it!
