Wonderful Christian Romance!

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. This is a heartwarming and heart-wrenching story. Both Kieran and Bonnie have suffered tremendous loss and grief. They are instantly attracted to each other, but their journey is a long and difficult one. Their belief in God is being tested and when they come back to God they are more likely to be together. The narrator makes this a pleasure to listen to. She really brings out the emotions and inner turmoil of these characters. This is a excellent Christian romance.

Beautiful, Uplifting Scottish~U.S. Romance

A poignant Christian romance that takes the heart on a rollercoaster of experiences from New Mexico to the Scottish Highlands. 30 year old broken hearted and spirituality disillusioned Bonnie heads to Scotland to teach at Ft. William University for a year. While getting settled, she meets Killien, a 40 year old emotionally devastated and spiritually disillusioned Scot who lives in the Highlands and tutors at the University. Their romance is beautiful as they begin to heal. But emotional and spiritual healing are complex issues and my heart almost couldn't take all the issues that arose!! The NM fiancee was an idiot who just drove me nuts and sometimes I wondered about the advice from the two best friends.

As much as I appreciated the lessons being learned and enjoyed the story overall, I felt it needed to be tightened up a little as the drama and trauma goes on a little long. But this is a beautifully uplifting book about the importance of turning to, relying on and heeding God's directions in our lives. It is 100% clean and while as in life, we cannot always see how there could possibly be a happy ending, I assure you, it will be there.💗

Holly Holt does a lovely job narrating the novel, with her soothing, melodic voice. The brogues were not always consistent but it didn't interfere with my ability to enjoy the story.

Romantic story with a religious tone

Bonny is left heartbroken after the death of her parents and her fiance leaving her. She decides to move from America to Scotland to start over. She meets Kieran there who has his own past hurts but they end up healing each other. When Bonny's ex tries to win her back, it causes some drama. Who will she choose?

This was a cute romantic story. The descriptions of Scotland were very vivid and made my imagination picture the scenes like a movie. I didnt like the religious aspect embedded therein but otherwise liked the story. There were a few 'edit' issues in the recording whereby some sentences repeated but these things happen.

Holly is an excellent narrator with awesome intonation. She even sang a bit in this one and it was epic! Holly really made the story more enjoyable for me.

very good if you are a religious person

I didn't realize how much religion played a role in this book before listening to it. I must say that it made me stop and examine my own beliefs. I enjoyed the storyline a good deal. There are a few moments where the editing and splicing of the audio track should have been caught. Gaelic is a difficult language and the narrative did her best.

Long way home

Land of My Dreams
A Home for My Heart
: Norma Gail

This is a Christian romance fiction featuring two broken people that aren't looking for a second chance. Bonny Bryant has lost everything. Her parents died within months of each other. Her fiancee broke their engagement the day after her father's funeral. Kieran MacDonell's wife died in childbirth along with their son. Both have lost their faith and are angry with God.

When Bonny gets the chance to leave New Mexico to teach in Scottish Highlands, she meets Kieran. This is the story of their roller coaster friendship and romance. They will have others interfering, as well as their own misgivinings. It seems like a long listen, but the story takes time to evolve.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed by Holly Holt.

Yes Yes and More Yes!!

This love story! Norma Gail you have my heart for writing such a beautiful story with such love, heartbreak, learning and so much more. Holly Holt this may be her best reading yet!! She spoke Gaelic even sung! This was a spectacular love story of someone who has a broken heart and runs away to Scotland to teach. Bonny is an American Professor at Fort William when she meets the handsome Kieran. He has his own heavy and hard baggage of hurt and loss. As Bonny is trying to build a future of love and peace her former fiance keeps entering the picture making things harder for Kieran. This is full of love and learning to love yourself in Jesus and your faith. This was spectacularly written and will stay with me for a long time to come. This is worth the credit or money to get. I enjoyed this and didn't want to put it down!!
