What a cute, lovely story.

This book grew in me at first I was very skeptical but Wow!! I fell in love with the story. Liberty's love for life and her friends was so endearing. This was such a great love story. definitely recommend. looking forward to reading more from this author!!

Meh

Not bad. Not spectacular either. The relational development between the main characters and the overall storyline felt a bit flat and unrealistic. Not bad at all, but not great either. Not sure I would listen to it a second time.

Loved this

My new favorite author. This wasn’t an over the top holiday cheesy romance novel (IMO). It has just the right amount of everything. Loved this and her previous novel for December reads.

Good story

I liked the story and I liked the characters. A little steamy, but nothing graphic.
I appreciate that the main character is intelligent and knows her own mind.

What about the half sister????

I wasn’t sure I was going to like the story at first but really got into it at some point. I think it strange that one of the mystery storylines from the beginning that hinted at having shock value connections was just dropped. I wanted to know that the two main characters were not connected as it was hinted at as a possibility in the beginning. Other than that frustration it was a really good read.

One of the best Christmas reads

How does this novel not have more reviews? I’m not even sure how I stumbled upon it. This is a beautiful story, with equally beautiful narration. It feels like The Holiday and Love Actually meet an unknown bestseller. It’s not extra or overly dramatic. Just a really nice read. So please give this novel a listen, settle in with some good hot cider or creamy coffee, start the fire, and listen, then give it a review. I may have to listen to this book every year going forward.

Beautiful holiday story

I really enjoyed this relatively light Christmas romance. The characters were complex enough to keep the plot interesting. I enjoyed the narration except for the French accent. That sounded odd to me and did get distracting. But overall fun book to listen to this season.

Real people

Not just a story. These characters come alive with intense dialogue as they explore the nature of love and there unavoidable somersaults there human heart must do to find it and keep it. Well done.

Go to therapy

I know many women like to romanticize about condescending narcissists with anger issues and fantasize that they can rescue them and turn them into nice people. But to me, that sounds like what many of my friends are going to therapy to stop doing. I certainly don’t want that during my holiday reading fun time.
