Publisher's summary

Scotty:

When a gorgeous cop comes racing out of a building on Fifth Avenue, hops in your horse-drawn carriage, and screams, “Go!” - you go.

You don’t stop and ask for paperwork. Or a badge. Or an explanation of who you’re chasing. You simply follow his shouted orders and try not to kill anyone in the process.

At least, that’s what I did when it happened to me.

But then it turns out that the “cop” is none other than Roman Burke, Hollywood’s hottest star, and our little joyride gets me fired. Now I’m broke, my horse has been evicted from her barn, and I’ve got nowhere to turn.

Roman:

When you accidentally hijack a Central Park carriage to escape the paparazzi, get pulled over by the police, and your crisis manager insists you lay low for a while, you nod your head and go.

And when the cute carriage driver shows up on your front step, horse in tow, blaming you for losing his job, you agree to fix it. Even if that means hauling both him and his horse along with you on your Vermont getaway.

At least that’s what I did when it happened to me.

Unfortunately, trouble seems to stick to the sexy carriage driver like hot syrup on a hotter waffle, making my Vermont retreat anything but quiet.

Now the carriage driver is in my bed, unexpected guests are crawling out of the woodwork, and the paparazzi is on my tail. With chaos and scandal swarming around me, suddenly, it isn’t just my career on the line.

It’s my heart.

Loved it!

I absolutely loved it. I'm surprised that the main characters were able to build a relationship with SOO many people interrupting their time and getaway. Absolutely hysterical.

Beautiful Chaos

This was a book of some fun side characters. I laughed at all the Shenanigans these characters provided in the story. I think I’d like another book just to see what trouble they can all get into! The romance was sweet and I shed tears worrying about Nugget...lol. I love these authors!!!

A Continuous Series of Unfortunate Events.

This story is a steady stream of one mishap and unwelcome guest after another. There's a lot going on. It has it's moments and funny parts. Perfectly narrated as usual by Michael Pauley.

Great story

I enjoyed listening to the story develop. I liked the characters and their side stories also. I do enjoy work from this author and continue to grab books by this author.

Nice steamy scenes throughout too.

I'd recommend the author to everyone.

Laugh out loud indeed!

I LOVED this book! I was laughing my butt off the whole time! The whole bunch of Oscar's family... 🤣🤣🤣 and the frogs... even though Oscar is not the main character, just like the name of the series, Oscar is a big part to the story. Pretty much anything to do with Oscar had me laughing. Lo Lo and "toad" cracked me up too. You still get sexy times amongst all of this. 5 stars! Definitely worth the listen.

4.275 > Fun but Utterly Chaotic

POV ~> Alternating first-person

Major cutie on the cover, wearing only a grey knit scarf. A big cityscape (NYC) is seen in the background. If the cutie and big, bold title font didn’t grab me, the author name (Lennox) would have, for sure. However, it was the synopsis that practically demanded that I read this story.

OMG, I do not know when I have laughed and enjoyed a story so much!
Scotty lives check to check and just wants to feel safe, and even perhaps, loved.
Roman is a movie star craving just a bit of normalcy.
A scandalous ride through Central Park leaves Roman on a mandatory R&R getaway in rural Vermont and carriage driver Scotty jobless and homeless. His horse, Nugget, is also in dire need of a new home, too.
Scotty finds and confronts Roman. Roman tries to do the right thing. Scotty ultimately finds himself in Vermont, at the infamous Oscar’s house (though Oscar is still an unknown entity yet). Antics ensue with family and a few more x-Oscar guys.
There’s as much feel good as hilarity, sexy as sweet. I started out borrowing the book from Kindle Unlimited but bought it before I was finished. I have every intention of purchasing this series in paperback format (if available at GRL) and **HAVE TO** hear Michael Pauley narrate this one, too, so I will happily own it in every available format!
Cast was fantastic. Interactions and dialogue were entertaining. The plot was excellent and a true pleasure to read. Chemistry was fantastic. There were a few conflicts along the way, but these two guys were amazingly smart and mature. Resolutions were met before any major angst could be had. Predictability… who the hell could predict half of what was happening? The conclusion was solid enough and satisfying. I really hope this is not the last we see of them, I think Scotty had tied himself with Lennox’s Stevie (FLIRT) as an all-time favorite character.
I cannot wait for the next book in the series and am already recommending this series to friends!

Well paced and clear enunciation.
Large cast, each with a unique voice - even during the crazy group scenes.
Fun, but occasionally overly chaotic.
It was an enjoyable and entertaining audio version.

Pulls you in from the start!

I loved every second of this book! I feel in love with the first book in the series and had to get the second when I realized it was out. The storyline pulled at my heartstrings and had me yelling at the characters as if they could hear me! This is such an amazing story of just how much love can change a person for the better!

LOL is right!

Probably one of the best books I’ve ever listen to. I laughed, I cried and laughed a lot more. Highly recommend anyone to read or listen to this book. Now I’m going to go by the next in the series.

You said… we said… and you… you can’t…- Roman

Would I listen to it again: yes
Did the story keep me engaged: yes
Was I invested in the characters: yes

Story comment: good pace, interesting characters and an entertaining story.
• Central Park carriage driver gets hijacked by famous actor • good character development • interesting supporting characters • and family chaos at Oscar's "cottage".

Narrator comment: I enjoyed Michael Pauley's narration of LOL. I had no problem distinguishing characters and the rhythm, inflections and intonations all worked to bring the book to life.
