Marred story
The book started out fine but the author decided to insert his anti-vax, anti mask, anti government conspiracy theory nonsense into the story which was completely irrelevant and unnecessary to the story. Kind of ruined it for me. The last I will ever read from this author.

Such a Great series
I'm sorry to see this series end, and look forward to the next group of wonder books from this author. As a member of my own assembled family, I can relate to the closeness that develops in such a crowd. Our family lacks the broad diversity of this family, but we still retain the fierce loyalty to one another. I'm also a resident of the general geographic area described in this book, and I found myself scanning the skies as if it were true. I don't remember when I have enjoyed a series as much as I did this one.

I loved this series!
From the first book until the last, I loved this series! A great combination of wit, fantasy, humanity and mysticism. I'll be looking for more books written by this author. The series kept me completely engaged, from beginning to end! I laughed a lot, shed a few tears and was completely engrossed. Great work! Highly entertaining!! Also, completely different from anything I've read/listened to over the past months. Kudos!

Almost a bomb
I thoroughly enjoyed books 1 & 2. At first I thought that book 3 was a cast off for contractual reasons and then realized that it was just winding up some loose ends from book 2. It was slow and tedious, but made sense. When the story got moving it was loaded with the same entertainment as the first two books.
Without giving things away I can't say much more. Tom has once again tickled my funny bone.
