Rival towns. Twin brother's fiercest rival. FMC is a supreme athlete. YES. PLEASE.
I ate this story up. I love having a strong, athletic FMC. I could relate to her feeling second best to her athlete brother as well. The rival teams, towns, QB war is epic too. The chemistry between our couple is fire!

Cute story
This is a cute love story. Kept me interested the entire way through. There was some growth in the main characters. Nothing big but enough to be believable and keep it pretty light hearted.

Absolutely loved it!
The story was as good as I've come to expect from C.W. Farnsworth. It was amazing seeing how these rivals fell in love. They had amazing chemistry!
This was my first time listening to Alex and Amy. They both did a great job!

Perfect Love Story to Pass the Time
I needed a good love story to get me through a road trip and this was perfect! I gave it 4 stars because I wished the supporting characters were developed more and that the relationships between the main characters and their friends/family were explored. In the book, we’re told that both main characters have hard family situations, but we never get to see much of that. It felt like maybe the author wrote it quickly and didn’t want to put thought into scenes outside of the two love birds. Still, I really liked Maeve and I loved Wes. He was pretty well developed as a character and was the right mix of flawed yet deserving of the girl.

SECRET LOVE
This was such a good read. I love a good Sports Romance. Rival high schools. Maeve is on one side and Weston is on the other. Maeve is a head soccer player, and her twin brother is the quarterback of the football team. Weston is the quarterback for his team and hella good. They meet at a party and kiss. Fireworks from there. But trying to keep what was going on between the two on the downlow isn't without it's challenges. I loved both MC and the narration did a PERFECT job... God I love Alex Kydd!!! He makes me feel some sort of way!

Sweet and Deliciously Tense
First of all, I have to say that the premise of this story is so simple, but there is a whole lot of perfection in that simplicity. These characters absolutely come to life on the page, their romance, their frustration with their circumstance, and the entire scenario. Sometimes, I felt like the rivalry between the two towns was a little overplayed--because surely, there isn't anything really like that--but I wasn't born and raised in a small town--so maybe it is. But that's my only gripe, and it's a relatively small one. This is a fun story, and I'd love to have more of this author's work in audio. It'd be an insta-buy for me.
