Following the colossal battle against the Empire's warriors, Eragon and Saphira narrowly escaped with their lives. But more awaits the Rider and his dragon, as Eragon finds himself bound by promises he may not be able to keep, including his oath to cousin Roran to help rescue his beloved Katrina. When unrest claims the rebels and danger strikes, Eragon must make choices that take him across the Empire and beyond, choices that may lead to unimagined sacrifice.
Conflict, action, adventure and one devastating death await listeners as Eragon battles on behalf of the Varden while Galbatorix ruthlessly attempts to crush and twist him to his own purposes. Can he become a leader who can unite the rebel forces and defeat the King?
the more i read the inheritance series I hope they re make the first movie, this whole series has the ability to rival that of "Lord of the Rings"
It was brilliant you just want him to continue writing and to think that he wrote the first book when he was 16 it's incredible. If you've read or seen lord of the rings eragon is about the same but with more magic in the story and bit less wars.

really enjoyed this book along with the preceding 2. looking forward to listening to the final book.
This was a good book. There’s nothing more to say. Apart from that now to start the final book. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
The BEST book out of the howl siries, amazing , full of darkness ana light, noomenus , every chapter full of adventure
loved the books. and now I love listening to them all over again. wonderful true escapeism
all the images that were formed in my mind were spectacular. I just sit back and let the reader take my mind on a journey. into Christopher's imagination.
Narrator was amazing! love his voices and you can feel the emotion of the characters
As with the others, the reader is treated as a little simple, and all the dragons sound like Daleks. Love the way the more slow characters have West Country accents...
cant fault these books they have been a real pleasure to listen too. brilliantly told in parts the suspense was killing me
I like Paolini's books. They tick a lot of boxes for the type of fantasy writing that I enjoy. However, like many middle books, this felt like filler.
Lets face it, Eragon is annoying. His dragon seems impetuous and they get themselves needlessly into a lot of trouble. There seemed to be a lot of it in this book, so much so that I can't remember the plot 4 weeks after having listened to it
Narration was at best OK - voice of Murtag is irritating
Relistened to this before the final book. Had to be done but was a bit of a struggle
I have read these books multiple times, and the reader is just so perfect for the characters and theme of the books
loved it easy to listen to will listen to again. great book rekomend to all
