I really enjoyed the characters, and there were some really great turn of phrases I had never heard before that were quite funny.

First of all, I appreciate that it wasn't a novella as many Christmas books are. I loved the setting in the great state of Texas and the combination of the ranching world and the world of the carney. This is a light hearted story with many laugh out loud moments. The book is well written, of course and the narrator did an excellent job. I highly recommend this one.

Great Christmas book

I thought the story was well written, and I felt like I was visiting old friends so nice the author did an amazing job writing in the previous characters. I think the person reading the book added way to much country twang to her accent. I am from the South and there is no one who talks like that, at times it was annoying to listen to.

Liked the story

I love Carolyn Brown and her books, but I have had a hard time listening to them because of the narrator. This one was just plain awful. Great series but the person reading made it difficult to follow.

Narration was lacking.
