Dear Diary,

I’m having the absolute worst week.

I just got evicted from my apartment, my parents just announced their divorce, and to top it off, I was just fired from my job at the coffee shop because of some ridiculously grumpy hot Wall Street-looking banker and a bad cup of coffee I made.

But the story gets worse because of the guy that got me fired, Finn Joseph. Well, he’s now my new boss. Yes, I, Harriet Campbell, am now a housekeeper for a billionaire. And the joke is on him because I can’t cook or clean.

And get this, this morning, he walked into my bedroom at 5:00 a.m. demanding his breakfast, and I may have told him to make it himself, which led to him pulling the sheets off the bed and revealing that I slept in the nude. Yeah, FML…only somehow I made it even worse.

But I’ll save the blindfolded quasi-lap-dance breakfast story for another entry. I’m too mortified to think of it right now.

An ok listen...

This was hard to keep listening to. I found the FMC hard to like. She seemed too arrogant. The sisters were great and it might have been better with a male narrator.

OMG I can’t…

I just want to say that the narrator was great. She did such a good job creating the mood, her inflection and personality for each character was spot-on.

That said, the story progression was ridiculous. Just when the story was going along fine, the MMC did something so out of character (from grumpy to sexually ridiculous) I got whiplash (eye roll!). The FMC was fine, reacting appropriately to his over the top actions. But the MMC just made the story not right. It brought the whole flow to a screeching halt.

Sorry but DNF.

Holy hell, how I got through this I’ll never know. It was stupid, it got on my very last nerve, I had to skip through parts. Why why why did I read this?

Crap!!! Completely Ate UP

I'm sorry but what the HECK was J.R Cooper doing, was she writing on a deadline just to meet a deadline? This story literally HAS NO PLOT and NO PURPOSE. It's certainly not for entertainment as there is 1% entertainment factor in this book. It's not a romance, its not an exotic romance. The main male character is literally every female's WORSE nightmare, hes a jerk, he publically humiliates the main Female character, He's constantly hiding stuff from her. He uses her as a psychology expermient where he publically humilates her in front of 20 destinguished guests. He is constantly putting the main female character in compromising sexual situations FOR AN EXPERIMENT. There is NO chemistry or attraction just sex, the two main characters are both weirdos. Shes a dummy letting the main male character do whatever to her and never questions anything weird, psycho or I dont know Lying to her through his teeth, hiding stuff from her. In ONE word this book is ATE UP, makes no sense has no romance plot or purpose they just keep having sex having no conversations about dating or any future together. The only people that question the weirdo Male characters intentions are the sisters. Hes dong the most shady stuff like knowing everything about her friends in a stalker kind or way and even drives STRAIGHT to the female character PARENTS house and she gets suspicious for 1 second and takes this guys blatant lie about going to her parents house without her giving him directions. This entire book the guys a big walking RED flag and a billion, the weirdo even makes the 60 year old butler propitiation the female and then acts like it's not weirdo and just says it's because he told him to. The entire book he's experimenting on her and constantly having sex with her the entire time. If this was a real situation the female character would call the cops on him and after the crap he put her through while using her for sex, they would NEVER EVER speak to that man EVER AGAIN. AND COME to find out its the Dad and the mom that set the daughter up to be experimented on. DISGUSTING!!!!! and Infuriating!!!! i regret spending money on this book, and the entire time shes supposed to be working she never gets paid either (rolling my eyes OFF my face). If a man ever did this to me, I would NEVER EVER, talking about making a female feel used and cheap, and the main character was a stupid dummy she even slept with the stranger she knew for less than a couple of days WiTH no pertection nor birth control. Shes 22 and hes 26 he defenitly used the girl and the parents find out and are like ITS OKAY HONEY THAT HE USED U HES GONNA PAY US 5 MILLION DOLLARS. This guy is such a lier NO ONE would ever believe a word he said after the things he did to her while experimenting on her. No maam!! no one would ever date this man again much less forgive this man again. REACHING OUT OF HER A** WITH THIS ENDING. DISGUSTING!!!! And then the fact that AFTER the mom and dad and main male character reveal that they pimped her out and the main male character basically says oh yeah we had fun didn't we the cologne helped, and She,s upset about it, he still keeps trying to be sexy with her and ignores the fact that he treated like worse than a prostitute on the street and he CONTINUES to make excuses about what he did with her. He even says he played games with her THE entire time and that he had fun USING her for sex for the experiment WHAT FEMALE WOULD LISTEN TO THAT AND NOT BE PISSED AND SICKENED. I AM AND THIS IS A FAKE BOOK. THIS ENDING IS THE WORST WOOOOORRRRSSSSTTT!!! NO ONE WOULD EVER LET A MAN TREAT THEM LIKE THIS AND EVER BE WITH THEM AGAIN. TO SAVE THIS STORY AND MAKE IT WORK THIS WOULD HAVE TO BE A PART TWO CAUSE NOOOOOOOTTTT!!! TO EVEN TRY TO MAKE THIS BOOK END ROMANTICALLY WAS STRRRKRREEEEETTTCCHHHING LIKE NO BOOK I HAVE EVER READ BEFORE. HE NEVER EVEN SAYS SORRY. TRYING TO MAKE THIS SITUATION ROMANTIC.....JUST STOP...YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE. THIS IS THE FIRST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ WHERE I ENDED IT BEING PISSED. THE AUDACITY FOR THIS MALE CHARACTER TO SAY HE LOVES HER AND THEN GET PISSED SHE DOESNT SAY IT BACK AFTER ALLL THAT. NO MAAAMMMMMM!!!! AND 11 MINUTES BEFORE THE BOOK IS OVER HES STILL TRYING TO HAVE SEX WITH HER AFTER SAYING HE PLAYED GAMES WITH HER AND THEN KEEPS TRYING TO FLIRT AND HAVE SEX WITH HER STTTTIIIILLLL. J.S....NOOOO!!!!

Just could not get into this book

I didn’t make it past chapter 6. I listen or read a couple hundred books a year, but this stands out as one of the few books I just couldn’t finish. Fmc was unlikeable. Wish I could get that credit back.

What was I thinking!!!

really really aweful book, story, and characters. funny thing, was the narrator was very good. I hope this storyline did not ruin her career. Think I will definitely not continue the series

Don’t recommend this book

I would not tell my friends about this book. Too simple. Weak plot. In a word, dumb.
