Publisher's summary

From USA Today best-selling author Devney Perry comes a small town, neighbors to lovers romance.

Memphis Ward arrives in Quincy, Montana, on the fifth worst day of her life. She needs a shower. She needs a snack. She needs some sanity. Because moving across the country with her newborn baby is by far the craziest thing she’s ever done.

But maybe it takes a little crazy to build a good life. If putting the past behind her requires a thousand miles and a new town, she’ll do it if it means a better future for her son. Even if it requires setting aside the glamour of her former life. Even if it requires working as a housekeeper at The Eloise Inn and living in an apartment above a garage.

It’s there, on the fifth worst day of her life, that she meets the handsomest man she’s ever laid eyes on. Knox Eden is a beautiful, sinful dream, a chef and her temporary landlord. With his sharp, stubbled jaw and tattooed arms, he’s raw and rugged and everything she’s never had - and never will. Because after the first worst day of her life, Memphis learned a good life requires giving up on her dreams too. And a man like Knox Eden will only ever be a dream.

fricken adorable story

What a sweet story. Honestly, I was not expecting the level of adorableness that this book provided.

The story is about a single mom who packs up her couple month old baby boy and moves from NYC to Quincy Montana. There, she meets Knox who is the brother of her new boss and her reluctant landlord. He is also a baby whisperer and her newborn takes to him quickly. She has secrets all relating to why she ran from NYC, but so does Knox. They eventually come together and their budding relationship begins to heal old wounds for each of them. It's a beautiful story and Knox is top tier swoonworthy. Warning ⚠️ If you have a sweet spot for guys who are natural dad's this book will be kryptonite to you.

What to expect
✅ Dual POV
✅ Forced Proximity
✅ Grumpy yet extremely caring MMC who has some dominant tendencies in the bedroom.
✅ Found Family
✅ Returning Eden family members
✅ Stand alone

ANOTHER 5⭐️ STORY FROM THIS GIFTED AUTHOR

This is why I ‘one click’ a new book by this gifted author.. because she creates a unique story you’re instantly drawn into.. a story with loveable heroes and heroines with damaged souls.. a supporting charming family unit of secondary characters and a heartwarming romance that makes your heart melt. But here she also weaves in enough secrets, challenges, hurt and pain in the strong but battle-broken heroine’s backstory that makes Memphis and all ❤️ hero Knox have to lower their guarded walls, let someone breathe life into their damaged souls and reach for the future that could potentially be their forever. And Devney’s well-written romantic dual POV story was in safe hands with the vocal talents of Maxine and Jason who brought this five star love story and it’s feels to life in such a wonderfully seamless way.

Worth a credit? Yes I loved it.

Adorable single mom + grumpy caretaker chef!

4.5 ⭐️ 2.5 🌶️

📖 This book had such a different vibe from Indigo Ridge but was just as incredible. Single mom Memphis moves to Quincy to start a new life with her infant son. She had a job at the small town hotel and her new boss, Eloise, hooks her up with housing — it just so happens to be at Eloise’s brother’s house. Knox Eden is a grump… he doesn’t want a single mother and her child living with him, or so he thinks. He has a restaurant to run and lives away from people for a reason. But it doesn’t take him long to fall hard and fast for Memphis and her little guy. Knox is a care taker at heart and he wants to give Memphis everything she’s never had — all those special moments that many of us take for granted. There are some seriously swoony moments!! Memphis may have been born with a silver spoon, but that doesn’t mean she had a happy life. She’s learning what happiness means with Knox and his family. Seeing both of them grow together was so sweet!!

🎧 Jason Clarke is my absolute fav male narrator and he crushed it as Know! Maxine Mitchell was wonderful as Memphis. They made this a wonderful listening experience — I was completely involved in the story the entire time. Their voices are just so enjoyable to listen to! Jason could read the phone book to me and I’d be happy.

Knox and Memphis

KNOX. EDEN. Back off ladies, he’s MY book boyfriend 🥵🤭

To be honest, I’ve never been a small town romance lover. It’s just not my jam. Enter The Eden’s ❤️❤️ I LOVE small town romance now 😂

Ok, now that we’ve gotten that out of the way.

Memphis and her 8 week old son are new in town. She’s moved into the loft at Knox’s place, much to his dismay. One night, Knox goes up to the loft because the baby is colic and cries every night. He takes the baby from her and rocks him until he calms down. His nickname for the baby - SWOON 😍

I loved watching these two fall in love. Knox was ready and so sure this was it for him. Memphis needed his strength to help her find her own. They have such a grown up, stable, loving relationship.

Yup, I liked this book!

Book two is actually better than book one, in my opinion. I'm really liking this small town and this family - growing closer to the characters and what motivates them. I love how each book has a beginning and ending without a cliffhanger, in fact, each book has one or more epilogues that are years into the future, but without giving away the next book. I don't know how many books are planned for this series, but I'm looking forward to book three.

Worth the credit!

I would highly recommend this book. There’s so much more going on than at first glance and the more I got into the story the more I loved the characters and the town.
