Publisher's summary

From the best-selling author of War Room comes a Christy Award finalist, now a Lifetime original movie called Child of Grace.

“I believed everything my daddy told me until I walked into Wal-Mart and saw my picture on a little poster....”

For as long as she can remember, June Bug and her father have traveled the back roads of the country in their beat-up RV, spending many nights parked at Walmart. One morning, as she walks past the greeter at the front of the store, her eyes are drawn to the pictures of missing children, where she is shocked to see herself. This discovery begins a quest for the truth about her father, the mother he rarely speaks about, and ultimately herself. But when her father’s past catches up with them, forces beyond his control draw them back to Dogwood, West Virginia, down a winding path that will change their lives forever.

Get Out The Box Of Tissues

Once again, Chris Fabry has written a book that will rip your heart apart. And, considering his professional radio voice, he turns in another world-class narration.

If you can get through this book without shedding a tear, you are stronger I.

For anyone who loves children and believes there are still good people in this world who will take care of them, this book is for you.

I highly recommend this book. I highly recommend any book by Chris Fabry.

Different Narrator

I can't figure out why a male narrator was chosen for a book that is written from the perspective of a pre-teen girl. The right narrator makes all the difference.

Daddy, daughter love story

I loved this book. I didn’t know what to think of John the daddy from the beginning. I loved him but was afraid I would have to hate him before the story ended. What makes a good parent? Was he cheating her by withholding important information or making her life better.?
This book kept my interest from start to stop. Highly recommend and you aren’t punched in the gut with vile language. So important!

Unforgettable! Get your tissues ready!

Once again, one of Chris Fabry’s novels leaves me wet-eyed and wishing The End hadn’t arrived on this honest but tender story. Highly recommend!

Wonderful story and performance

Wonderful story with unexpected plot twists and amazing character development. I had to change the very end of the story a little to get it to my liking, but what a journey Mr. Fabry takes us on with little June Bug and her dad. Highly recommend this book and any book by Chris Fabry. Thank you, Mr. Fabry!

Very moving

Love hearing this book. It was captivating. Hearing about the mom asking what she did wrong with her child to be such a rebel. Parents can easily blame themselves. I love hearing how love and forgiveness happens. I love that grandma didn’t give up hope and praying. I love that the dad didn’t give up reviving her.
I personally would like to see a follow up book to know what happens. I feel her dad is her dad and no one should be taken from their family even if he’s not blood related. And keep grandparents in her life. And mom needs to be arrested and find Jesus. And he needs to marry the lady in Colorado!
Overall wonderful!
