Publisher's summary

Six years before my phone rang and changed my life forever, I made a mistake.

I met a girl, we had some fun, and then we had a baby. And I fell pretty damn hard for my daughter. I was going to be there. I was going to give her everything I never had. I was going to have a family.

And then her mother disappeared and took my baby with her.

And now she’s done it again. Because that call that changed my life was from my five-year-old daughter asking me if I knew where her Mommy was.

Then came the lawyers. And the demands from her super-rich, super-powerful, messed-up family. And the little fact that my ex didn’t just “disappear” she was “presumed dead”.

I don’t live a traditional lifestyle and I’m not in a traditional relationship.

But I can pretend if I have to.

And that was the plan when my two “best friends” and I decided to hire “professional liar” Brooke Alder to be my fake fiancée.

It’s totally gonna work. As long as MY super-rich, super-powerful, messed-up family doesn’t get in the way.

Joey is book two in the Bossy Brothers series and features a delicious, burning hot, MMFM, surprise-baby, fake fiancée story with a twist that proves committed couples don’t just come in twos, mistakes can be a good thing, and for some people - non-traditional love is exactly the kind they should fight for.

Includes a special bonus note from the author.

I wouldn't pay for this series

Book 1 was weird, but I didn't hate it. Book 2 has given me a pretty good idea of the writer's style and it's not my cup of tea. Some things where repetitive as if we'd forget. She was "kidnapped", she's a good liar, she wants friends, she likes self-help books. Nobody talks to him, we never see him, we don't know what he does, we're all afraid of him, no we don't know why we're afraid of him. Over and over again. I want to find out what this whole family business jive is about, but it's not worth it. In my head, the brothers all find love and take down the big bad whatever that's been torturing them their whole lives.

MIND-BLOWING

What I love love love about Julie’s books are their uniqueness, their insane unpredictable intricately weaved plots and the intense chemistry that surrounds her heroes and heroines.. however, with this outstanding story, Julie created it four-fold in a very hot polyamorous MMFM steamy ménage à quatre romance. But that’s not all.. there’s a father’s deep need and longing to love and protect the five yr old daughter who had been cut from his life birth and there’s a power struggle between him and the only father the doted upon little girl has ever known. And there’s a precarious balance of suspense, mystery and seeing right from wrong. But that’s not all.. the tightly fused relationship between these three best-friends was delicious as their sexual tension teased, taunted and burned bright. But that’s not all.. there’s a strong lone heroine with a mysterious past and secrets surrounding her.. but all she wants to do is to find her future and belong. And in this steamy erotic story, the lucky lady finds it times three within the loving, tight embrace of three best friends. But that’s not all.. the complex sinister threads surrounding the lavish and mysterious ‘giving of money ceremony’ from book 1 is further explained and expanded on.. however, it’ll teasingly reveal only a few of the puzzle pieces and cunningly conceal the rest.

Worth a credit? Oh yes, yes, yes.. this story delivered much more than I was expecting.. more of everything JA Huss - more emotional feels, erotic feels, conflicted feels and feels.. and feels.. and feels. It’s a book for your heart as well as your senses as hope springs, desires ignite and the flare, fireworks and fallout burn bright. Your anticipation grows, your mind is caught, your hopes soar and collide with your heart and you’re desperate to hear more. Joe and Jill were, of course, brilliant at bringing this talented author’s words and characters to life, perfecting the emotional

Bossy Brothers Saga Continues

We continue the saga with Joey, the middle brother.

Joey has never been really connected to the family business, he doesn't even know what the family business is up to this point.

What he does know, he has a daughter that was basically stolen from him by her mother. Until one day this daughter calls him, and mom is missing. Now Joey must prove he's a stable influence and not part of the Boston Brothers business. Enter Brook, his 'girlfriend' and professional liar. They are making the perfect home for Joey so he can get his child back.

Joey is also VERY close to his two BFF's. From the moment they entered college together, their relationship has crossed every boundary. Joey, Hux, and Wald are closer than brothers, they are one family.

We also learn more about the Boston Family Business and Johnny's part of it, why he sent Joey away, why he wants Joey to leave Maize alone.

EXCELLENT narration. Jill Redfield's narration is very real and raw, like she's baring her secrets. Joe Arden - well he's Joe Arden, he makes you believe anything you hear from him.

There are MMFM scenes in this book - if that's not your thing. It's not the center of the entire book, but an element.

Worth a credit = yes. As a stand alone or as part of the Bossy Saga.

The table has turned!

I am an audiobook and reading addict. There have been many books that I can't wait for it to end, but every book by JA Huss is never long enough. She sucks you into her world and you just don't want to leave.

This is a polyamorous relationship that feels so right. She is the missing link they never knew they needed. The sex scenes are hot and move smoothly that you can picture them. The mystery in this series is exciting and I can't wait to see how it all turns out. Joe Arden narrates awesome as always. Jill Redfield's narration was excellent too. Her male voices are done well.

This is SO weird

I listened to the first book in this series and thought it was weird but I wanted to know what this secret is with the family. So that’s why I’m TRYING to give this book a chance. It’s just too weird. Joey and his 2 friends are in some weird relationship and then Brook enters and they are all in a relationship. The story is too long and I’m sorry to say it again but just plain WEIRD. So glad I didn’t pay for this!

Great performance, very poor story

Should've been a short read leaving only the sex parts. Those were good. The custody case makes no sense since the law doesn't work like that. The development of each character were empty. If you want to read a book with the plot of porn, this is for you. If you want a book that makes sense, well skip this one.

It’s just one big orgy

I really wanted to love this but it’s just an erotica novel. One big orgy. I couldn’t get past chapter 14 because that’s all it has been so far. Nothing but sharing and I was disappointed. That’s not what I bought this book for.

Disappointed

****Spoiler alert
Biggest disappointment in the storyline is the lack of safe sex. Clearly everybody’s forgotten about the 80s and / HIV /AID pandemic

MMFM entanglement deluxe

Shakespearean/ Dickensian style drama! Two stories woven together, conflicts displayed like in all the best classical stories. Conflicts sealed and separated, the commerce and the sex. (commerce is actually another word for sex in legal terms).

In Tale of Two Cities, the young handsome buck, gives his life so his world and his love (possibly carrying his baby?) can survive thus becoming the hero he never expected to be. It's all for one, one for all, like The Three Muskateers and the leader who starts as Joey but becomes Brook.

The crucial story inside BB2 is buttered with copious sex scenes, which is how the groups that control the world control their initiates ie Jeffrey Epstein photographing the act. Via "heiros gamos" the act depicted in The Divinci Code, the orgy scene in Eyes Wide Shut, The Red Cloak Ceremony is similar to the ceremony depicted in BB1 and referred to in BB2. It doesn't matter if it's sex between M and F, MM, or in this case MMFM. It's the glue, driven by hormones and passion, the instinctual drive to procreate and survive by whatever means.

The MMM sex in BB2 is not complete between the men...... yet. But Joey in the last 10 minutes finally acknowledges what he is and what he disputes when asked all through the book, what these men are to him, just friends? He loves them as lovers (which is what they were hanging out for from him, wondering if he could ever acknowledge or commit). Brook completes the square, closes their box. The same themes in The Triangle and The Square books, which of course hints where book 3 of that series will go: to a foursome? More children?

Although BB Joey is 9hrs, we don't actually learn too much about Joey or any of the MCs in the 4some only fake memories invented for their fake profiles, but still the book speeds along. You can't like any of the characters; they don't do anything to like them for. Ark from 321 - in follow-on extras provided by Huss, his character is filled out and cements him in his new life, and finishes his paint job in our hearts. He's the yardstick against which I measure all Huss' characters.

Enjoyed the rip-roaring adventure aspects of the book, not all the fiddle faddling around, or the sex.

I’m Hooked

I’m two books in and I cannot get enough of these brothers, I’ve already 1-clicked book 3.
After book 1 left me with more questions than answers I was still in the dark throughout this audio book, until the last couple of chapters when things started becoming a little clearer. Apologies though, I digress, jumping to the end prematurely, as amazing as that is. Let’s start at the beginning, Joey trying to get his daughter back, and as such he recruits Brooke to assist him as his fake fiancé. You might be thinking just another run of the mill fake fiance story, but let me assure you, it’s like no fake fiance trope I have ever read! What a story! Hot, hot, hot! Scorching hot! Sizzling hot! I loved it. As well as the super hot bedroom (or not bedroom) scenes, there’s so much drama. I was on the edge of my seat in places. Holding my breath, and waiting for the ball to drop. No spoilers here, but I will say it can probably be read as a standalone, but to get the full experience, the series really should be read from book 1. There are so many secrets, and I can feel it’s all going to come to a head, not sure how many books in before we get the complete picture, but I am totally enjoying the ride. I’m listening to the audio version of these books and narration so far has been fabulous. Joey is narrated by Joe Arden (perfection), and Brooke is narrated by new to me narrator Jill Redfield, she was spot on. A perfect duo.

Fabulous!

This book and audio are both ALL the way fabulous. I loved everything about it. Each character has a 'face' and makes her or his mark on the narrative. The narrators are total stars. Both Jill Redfield and Joe Arden ensure that the words come to life and that I didn't want to miss a word. Brilliant! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Brilliant story

Twists omgs and definitely unexpected read from start to finish in one sitting because I just had to know what came next ….. read by accident first but not upset because JA has an incredible way of pulling together a story in a series it genuinely could have been a stand alone… pat hard on that back job well done

Only thing I didn’t like was exactly what I also loved
I won’t spoiler for that I think it’s obvious when it ends so I will give one word to describe it ‘intense’.

Steamy and funny

Loved this book, the narration was great, loved the spicy scenes and also how funny it was. I didn’t feel very attached to the female lead (maybe because she didn’t even feel attached to herself and came with very little backstory). But loved it overall!

Didn’t like female narration

I thought the narrators were the same for ‘Jesses’ book. I was really disappointed when I realised too late that Jill Redfield was the female narrator. She comes across as totally disinterested and haughty when reading., I really can’t listen to her narration. I had to stop after Chapter 2 and read my Kindle version instead. The story is ok, nothing new for JA Huss similar to other books she has written. I have already downloaded Johnny so I’m really hoping that will be better.
