She thought she knew everything about her sister. It seems she was wrong ... DC Jo Boden was 11-years-old when her older sister, Sarah, was brutally murdered during her first year at university. Her boyfriend, Nathan Wade, was convicted of the killing. Now, 15 years later, Wade is being released on licence and documentary filmmaker, Briony Rowe, says she can prove his innocence. The Boden family has never recovered from the tragedy, and they have always been certain that Wade is guilty. But Jo, who grew up believing her sister was perfect in every way, starts to question the evidence which put Wade behind bars. And perhaps Sarah harboured some very dark secrets of her own ...©2019 Susan Wilkins (P)2019 Bolinda Publishing Crime Fiction Detective Fiction Genre Fiction Mystery Police Procedural Psychological Suspense Thriller & Suspense Women Sleuths Women's Fiction Crime

It took the first half of the book to figure out what was going on, and then suddenly it all wrapped up and was finished.
Narration was very good, but the story line was too long and drawn out.

Slow moving, but good enough.

I find myself disappointed by so many audiobooks lately, but I was quite surprised that I truly enjoyed this one. Although Lucy Brownhill can be a little on the breathy, whispery side, it was a decent narration of an intriguing story. It kept my interest and moved well along nearly up until the end where it kind of meandered a bit and got a little wobbly. It seems the author realized she needed to end it somewhere and just kind of ‘made it happen’. But overall a decent listen with a good twist. I will listen to a Susan Wilkins book again!

Really good!

This book had a lot more substance and webs than I thought, the plot and twists wove nicely. I thought I had it figured out almost the whole time, to the point where I was almost disappointed –– but I was wrong. Although, even if I did correctly predict anything, I would've still thought the book was good because as whole the story was executed well. I've been listening to a lot of very sloppy mystery/thrillers lately, this was a good change.

very good, better than the summary

This was my first book by this author and I loved it. Wasn't crazy about narration (Lucy Brownhill) but can't wait to check out her other books.

Loved it!

Honestly the audio was hard to get through. I normally love books narrated by the British but this was a mess. And the story just dragged on. I have never struggled to finish an audiobook this much
