This 👏🏻 book 👏🏻 was 👏🏻 sooooooooo👏🏻 good! Layla, Callan, and Katy have stolen my heart. I felt every emotion while reading this and I couldn’t put it down (I finished it in one day). Callan is a doctor/former rock star and Layla is a med student. It starts as a one night stand, tragedy strikes that leads to so much more. This book was the perfect combination of spice, conflict, tension, and sweet moments. Callan and Layla’s chemistry is 🥵🥵🥵. The side characters are amazing. The story is perfection. I loved this so much and I look forward to continuing this series and reading the previous books. I highly recommend.

Incredible narration for an incredible romance!

J. Saman has created some characters that are irresistible to resist... and Callan and Layla - after reading their story - have become some of my all-time favorite characters! These two balanced each other out so perfectly, that I don't know how anyone reading this story couldn't fall in love with either of them.

Callan - his life was completely upended after becoming his niece's guardian. But you could tell before that how much he loved her and would do anything to protect her. He truly cared about her best interests - which was one of the sexiest things about him. And Layla, she knew how to relate to Katy on a level that Callan could never reach. There truly was a reason why she walked to his table that night at the bar, not only to be in Callan's life but to be a support for Katy.

And then, of course, the chemistry between Callan and Layla......these two had it from the get-go. From that first night they were together, to the night she worked on that case study (seriously, how hot was that?!?!)... the sparks were flying every moment they were together!

And of course, how could I not mention the rest of his crew - Zax, Greyson, Asher, and Lenox. I love the deep bonds and friendships they all have with one another, and how they have each other's backs, ready to fight or help whenever one of them needs it. They all stepped up big time for Callan in this one, without him even asking, as they all just know what to do or say when one of them is struggling.


If you're a fan of audiobooks... Lee Samuels and Lucy Rivers are nailing their performances as Callan and Layla! This is actually my first time listening to Lee, and his voice is spot-on of what I could have imagined Callan to sound like. And the raspiness and unique tone of Lucy's voice gives an edge and sassiness to the character that is totally Layla. Plus, listening to those spicy moments and not just reading them brings those scenes to a whole new level.


Seriously, this story is just so, so good! Whether it's on audio or on your Kindle, this is one story you don't want to miss out on!

I loved this book! You absolutely need to listen to it! I laughed, I cried!! The cast of side characters adds so much to the story!! Lucy and Lee are absolutely fantastic!

Spectacular & spicy forbidden romance with an OUTSTANDING narration!!

I may have already read and loved this book but you know I had to have it on audio after seeing that audio casting! Someone call Callan, because now I need a doctor after listening to Lee Samuels & Lucy Rivers together in one narration!!! My heart could not handle how freaking PHENOMENAL these two were for Callan & Layla! Also, their voices just blended together so freaking well which made it easy to escape into the story and get lost in their performance!

The story all begins one wild night after a chance encounter at a restaurant (and I mean a hot freaking WILD night)! Things take an even wilder turn when they end up seeing each in the classroom and he’s her new professor! Did I mention she is a med student and he is also a doctor at the hospital where she also is working?! It doesn’t stop there as a twist just transforms this book from a fun forbidden romance and into a beautiful and emotional story that develops perfectly! This is a book you want to go into blind to truly enjoy the development of these characters and this story!!

Both Lee Samuels & Lucy Rivers couldn’t have been more perfectly casted for these characters and exactly what I envisioned when reading! Lee’s deep tone for Callan embodied everything about this hot, sexy doctor in his early 30s. Also, if you’ve never heard Lee narrate spicy scenes then you’re missing out!! Callan’s dirty mouth with Lee’s voice…🥵 Then there is Lucy Rivers whose voice captured all things Layla Fritz with her light caring tone for this younger med student. Add in that sass in her voice for Layla's personality and it was perfection!

Overall, I highly recommend this audiobook!!! J. Saman knows how to write a well told story from beginning to end, with captivating and emotional moments that keep you sucked into the story while also putting in spice that just hits the spot!!

Age Gap/One Night Stand/Fake Engagement

Another hit from the amazing J. Saman! I've seriously enjoyed everything I've read from her and am both mad and glad it took me do long to find her. Mad because I haven't been screaming about her awesomeness for very long, but glad because that means I still have so many books of hers I get to go back and experience for the first time.

Irresistibly Wild... Callan and Layla... what to say about these two... I loved them, that's for sure. I loved the connection the two of them had and I loved how they cared for each other. Layla is a character we met in another series from J. Saman. You don't need to read that other series to enjoy this book, but the parallels between Doctor Scandalous and this book were perfect. It's very much a different story, but their are similarities, and I love how those were called out in this book.

I loved that Callan always had his niece, Katy, at the forefront of his mind, and I love that Layla did the same. I loved the way the relationships for all of them developed throughout the course of the book, and I love that Callan pushed Layla while still giving her the space she needed. I loved the way they were able to communicate with each other, and how they supported each other. I appreciated how all the tropes worked together in this one and how the entire story played out. A seriously great addition to a series and I am very excited to continue.
