Another great addition to the series

I love the way that this writer ties it all together in the way that it flows you never lose or break the storyline

Jason and Jason keep the books and audio books coming. I struggle with putting them down or hitting pause. I just want to keep reading/listening.

Another Great Book

Another great book, I recommend the series to my friends. Wish you could publish the bigger books without getting shadow banned but I’ll keep buying your audio books either way. Looking forward to book 10!

Good and bad. Necessary regardless.

I’m writing this because I know that there will be a lot of hate from the random person who reads litrpg.

Let’s get the elephant out of the way here, the shortness of the book. It’s a problem which, to be fair, is a direct result of Amazon policies. If you listen to the authors notes in the beginning of the book you will find there is a good reason why this book is short. It’s in fact one book that was split up because of page publication limitations set by Amazon. Unfortunately it’s quite obvious this is the case, but I don’t really see what else the author could have done without rewriting the entire thing, which would have been ridiculous.

With that out of the way, the book is good. It may be slow paced and a bit lack luster in epic news, but that is what happens when you only get to read the first portion of a book. I’m fairly certain the second half will make up for it, which If you follow along how the author usually writes and his previous books, usually it’s a in a classic story arc fashion where it culminates in the latter portion of the book. Again, while it lacks any closure do to the aforementioned issues with splitting, this book introduces a lot of cool new game mechanics and brings people together that will make for a good end in part 2 of this book (hopefully). It’s still building.

Anyway, hopefully this helps explain the hate everyone will probably no doubt have for this book. I would still recommend it and I will rate it full stars for being what it is.

So...

SPOILERS
How is it that all of Jason's friends are the same level as him when he started higher, finished a lot of high experience personal quests, and usually slays the high level mobs? He should be ahead of his friends by a significant amount. His friends also die more frequently. Jason needs to do a better of checking up on his lands and make the players watching over it run things by him before doing dumb shit like using his new weapon on a learning enemy that they are about to face. How is it that the moderators are all focused on Jason when they know his crazy ex is the problem not him. She admitted in game that she is being paid to ruin the game so why aren't the moderators doing anything about it? It isn't realistic that none of the players on the forums have enough common sense and don't see through what the Storm alliance is up to. There is a lot of what I call 'mean girling' going on in this series which is when non-main characters act in a stereotypical/stupid manner. How all the non-main character players believe whatever they read on the forums, how the non-main character players abuse the people of the world, how when Jason walks into a city all the players have dumb dialogue about him, and thousand other examples of the players acting more like generic NPCs than the actual NPCs. There can't only be 50 players that aren't mindless sheep, evil masterminded pkers, or evil dumb pkers. The Devil Dogs sister is so petty. She doubts everything other people work on and is condescending towards their achievements. She assumes Jason only achieves things because *add any excuse that could fit the situation here*. He only gets NPC followers because he paid to win and has a higher charisma. I hope she meets Jason and puts her foot in her mouth and gets kicked out of the guild/his lands so she no longer needs to be included in this book.

Awesome series!

I have listened through the first eight books twice now, and just finished the ninth. As a regular Audiobook listener, I keep a few serious downloaded all the time, so I can listen to them again anytime. This is one of those series now!

So far, this has been an amazing series. Great character development, great plot line and just overall fun. This has been the best LITRPG series I've read to date and I'm really happy with it. I highly recommend this entire series... now, where is book 10???
