Inspirience audiobook a valuable companion

After my reading of the book Inspirience, the guided meditations were further enhanced by listening to the audiobook. The soothing, clearly spoken delivery creates memorable
in-roads for my use in daily life and personal practice. The thoughts conveyed do not come out of any one spiritual or wisdom tradition, and consequently they reach me in an immediate, sincere and direct way.

Guideposts

Would you listen to Inspirience: Meditation Unbound again? Why?

When I first read Richard's first book, "The Unbound Soul", my eyes were opened to the untapped potentials that reside within all of us. I was inspired to deepen my journey in a simpler but profound way. I find his new book to be astonishingly practical, leading the reader through simple meditation techniques without dogma, without unattainable requirements of countless hours of practice and study. All that is asked is that we bring ourselves fully to each practice and to be aware of the jewels that unfold, whatever they may be. In an age of countless spiritual teachers and teachings, it is refreshing to find individuals who are committed to merely serving as guideposts for the rest of us to unfold what is already within.

Useful meditations, advice on life & entertaining

What did you like best about this story?

Although very entertaining with his stories of personal experience he had a lot of practical advice on living in harmony as well as the how-tos of meditating for stress release and of course to unfold one's soul and gain a more profound meaning of life.

Any additional comments?

The audio book is easy to listen to and in both versions he gives step by step instructions at the end on how to do each of the meditations. I highly recommend reading or listening to the audiobook.

Unique and Effective

I really liked this book on many fronts. Richard does a great job on explaining unconditioned awareness and taking you through the steps. It is simple, not necessarily easy, but I did manage to get benefit from it.

I was most moved by the chapter on Appreciation, especially "Unconditioned Appreciation." I had never heard of such a thing but I applied the technique and it was incredible. The felt sense of love in my heart bursting with appreciation for nothing in particular was astounding. Anyone with an interest in meditation can benefit from this book, beginner or advanced.

Not for Meditation Newbies

This was a good listen. It is a hybrid between an autobiographical account of the author's meditation journey, mixed with instructions on how to remain comfortable during meditation. He also speaks of how meditation doesn't need to be a static endeavor, but there are 'walking meditation' techniques that can prove to be just as useful. It is narrated by the author.

Wonderful book audiobook!

This is a wonderful book for those wanting to begin meditation on an introductory level or for the more experienced in the art of meditation. The author shares his own personal story as he discovers “Isness” and teaches the reader how to incorporate this methodology into their own practice of meditation.

Learning to transform ourselves and lose restrictions on our perception of life is essential to reduce stress through meditation. This new practice has been beneficial for my personal well being in lowering my blood pressure and helping me unplug from my busy life.

I recommend this book to anyone needing help to control stress and anxiety in their life and get a healthy balance.
