Publisher's Summary

Love had cut me in so many ways I wondered if my heart could take any more.

But then I saw him. He was my boss. A single father.

And to top it off he was insolent.

I didn’t intend to want him, that wasn’t my objective. But somehow I couldn’t say no.

We shouldn’t have worked, but like witchcraft, I was under his spell.

My heart’s been destroyed before. I’m not sure it can handle heartbreak again.

Thumbs down on the narration

These guys are supposed to be young and “bad ass”, right? Well, this guy’s voice is all wrong. He sounds, old. Who ever picks the narrators for this series should really pay better attention. Ruined it for me!

Wonderful ending for the guys at Crimone Elite.

The book was full of emotional ups as downs and had me crying and laughing. Always good if you ask me. The female narrator was great, however the male narrator should never be allowed to speak in female tone again unless it for his Granny Gertrude. Horrible female voice. He did fine as the male, not the best but definitely not the worst. I struggled through his voice because I wanted the story to come to a complete circle.

I don’t understand

Why are the last two books narration so bad? And do they check the narration before they publish? Storyline is good but the way these 4 narrators read the books makes it seem like the author isn’t a good one. I struggled with the last 2 books and by the looks of all the reviews on these last books no one likes them either so why isn’t anyone doing something to fix this?

To Bad

This might have been a good story like the first three in the series, but for the narrators that were chosen to read book 4. Both are poor readers, but the male sounded like an 80 year old man. The female had no skill at reading at all.

Good but narration

This story could have been good but the narration... I really had to power through. His female voice sounded like a 100 year old woman and not at all who he’s trying to portray. Would have been better if they tried duet style perhaps. I wonder why Teddy Hamilton didn’t just read for all (I read another series where one great narrator read all three books and it was glorious.)

I was glad to follow Darby’s story and to know why he acts the way he does.

It wasn’t as steamy as I thought it was going to be but it was alright. I liked the characters and their stories.

I hope the writer will write about Charles and Creed’s daughter. That would be amazing! Like 25 years later or something. One can only hope.

Darby & Olympia

An emotional, heartbreaking, and heartfelt story. Darby and Olympia are two people with painful past and find something neither of them were looking for. They have a exquisitely beautiful intensity between them. They both put up a fight with their feelings and this starts a push and pull tension. I absolutely adored this book. Narration was good.

Better than the last one! Spiciness and emotional!

So there's things missing in this book, like little plot holes and the girl gives in so fast to his crazy antics,... also the male narrator adds some weird noises in his quote reading for embellishments that were kind of over the top and took me out of the scenes pretty frequently. oh well, I still liked this book better than Falcons. Pretty spicy, but the scenes are kind of missing something like positional descriptors and a tad short,... but again, that could just be from me getting distracted by the narrators additions,... oh well, I enjoyed this book overall.

Eh

The story was ok, but the way it was read was very bad. The narrator’s voice was good. The overly dramatic way it was read was very annoying. The abrupt change of attitude of the female character made me dizzy. First she’s sassy then scared of the dark then dirty talking then mad. I had a hard time keeping up. 😵‍💫
The characters were not that deep. Overall I was mostly annoyed.

could have been better.

I enjoyed the first 2 books but the male narrator in this story just didn't sound realistic at all. His version of the female voice was awful.

5 brilliant stars

this is book 4 of the series and although I have enjoyed all the previous books, this one is my favourite. this book had me go through so many emotions while listening from laugh out loud to tears running down my face but it was so worth it. please be warned it does cover the topic of infant and maternal loss so if this subject is too difficult for you, then think carefully before you listen. the narration has been great for all 4 books and I highly recommend the series.

Heartfelt

Book 4 was good, very sad at certain points, I needed tissues. I would love a book 5 which gives you an update on all four guys. Creed is still my favourite and Falcon makes me laugh. I just love the chemistry. The narrators were great, made the characters come alive. 5 ⭐️

Absolutely heart breaking, mascara warning!

Well written story, good plot. Just a warning for those who havehad child loss (forget that, for all those who have any child involvement) it is very very triggering. I cried twice. HEA/HFN. Performance good.

I loved this whole series

I want to start by getting the icky out of the way. Believe the reviews about the male narration. I had such high hopes for Darbys story. Through the 3 previous books I already knew I loved him but this guy really let him down. Creepy yes. And his spicy seems were cringe. Just so ….. no. Just no.
She was amazing though. 5 stars for her.

Anyway…
I’m going to miss these boys. I just loved them all so much. Their characters were so well developed. Great writing, plots, sex, all of it. I’m off to find another series by TL Smith to listen to

Disappointing male narration

I agree with other reviewers that the narration of D is all wrong and creepy. It took away from the softness he was meant to show for his son and any appeal Olympia might have. Female narrator did a better voice.

Great story line

Loved this story but not the male narration. It was hard to listen to and creepy at times. I didn't like the way he interpreted most of the scenes especially when he did Olympia's part. This series was very good, full of suspense and unbridled sex and a different love.

Great story but male narrator was cringeworthy

Loved this book so much but the male narrator made my skin crawl. He just sounds like such a creep the way he narrated this book. Loved the storyline and I love the crimson elite series.
