Publisher's Summary

The Montgomery Ink saga from NYT best-selling author Carrie Ann Ryan continues with a second-chance romance sure to tug at your heartstrings.

When men in uniform showed up on Eliza Wilder-Strong’s doorstep, she knew her life would be irrevocably altered. She not only lost her husband but the future she’d carefully planned. A year later, she’s looking to start over - beginning with a solo healing vacation. Only she never expects to see a familiar, tempting face along the way.

Beckett Montgomery refuses to want his little sister’s best friend - especially because she’s a widow. Yet there’s no stopping the connection between them. As the temptation to give in intensifies between them, so do the reasons they shouldn’t stay together.

Painful ghosts from both of their pasts stand in their way, and sometimes it’s the living that can haunt you when you’re not looking.

A Must have to add your library

I absolutely love Carrie Ann Ryan and her writing style how the characters grow and develop through out the story. Beckett Montgomery the eldest of the siblings and Eliza is Annabelle s best friend.
This story is beautiful and swoony very steamy of course a HEA
that bonus epilogue just makes me want the next one now...

Aaron and Emma narrating the story was a total bonus, they being the characters to life and I really enjoy listening to them both.

Great story

I really enjoyed listening to Inked Obsession by Carrie Ann Ryan and wonderfully narrated by Emma Wilder and Aaron Shedlock. These two narrators did a great job bringing Beckett and Eliza’s story to life and all the different emotions that they experienced. I was hooked and ended up finishing this audiobook in one sitting.

Beautiful story

Emma Wilder and Aaron Shedlock did an amazing job bringing Eliza and Becketts story to life. The writing is flawless, and filled with twists and turns I wasnt expecting. This book will bring out all the emotions but will put your heart back together seamlessly.

Great story

I really adored this story! I loved getting to know Eliza and Beckett better. We get to see them as they hit a rough spot in their lives. Beckett is dealing with keeping a secret from a horrible event that is still haunting him. He doesn't know how to talk about it anymore since he didn't say something when it first happened. He is trying to process it but is having a hard time. Eliza was figuring out who she was after losing her husband (died in military). She was hitting a better space when the rug was pulled out from underneath her again. Beckett and Eliza keep getting thrown together when things go wrong and the chemistry keeps picking up as Eliza is no longer married and not a recently grieving widow. I loved how the relationship built between these two characters. They were friends first and were hesitant to take a step to making it something else, especially when they were both trying to figure out other issues in their lives. I loved how they made their honesty and no secrets agreement. It really helped the communication as things progressed for them. This story pulled me in from beginning to end and I can't wait to see what is going on with the rest of the Montgomery siblings and their relationships. Very excited for the next book.
I loved listening to it and the narrators did a fantastic job. They were great with the voices and emotions and adding that extra dynamic to the story that helped to bring it to life and really immerse yourself in it.

Beckett and his secrets…

I enjoyed this one as much as I enjoy every Montgomery book. They are full of family love and caring, some secrets to sort out and a bit of suspense and drama. The romance between Eliza and Beckett wasn’t instant. They have been friends for a while and she is his sister’s bestie. Also widowed, they treat her with too much care. She is fierce and independent and has some awful news from his dead husband’s side. But when they do get together is explosive and super sexy. I had a great time listening to this story and as always, the narrators hit the mark. Lovely voices!

Eliza and Beckett

Eliza and Beckett have known each other for some time as she's one of his sister's best friends, but Eliza was married so a friendship was all they shared. But then Eliza's husband was killed and now she's a widow.

Beckett has tried to deny the attraction he feels for Eliza, mainly because she’s a widow but there’s a strong connection between them one which could easily become more than friendship. As the temptation to give in intensifies between them, so do the reasons they shouldn’t be together.

Almost a year after her husband's death she learned he wasn't the man she believed him to be and she begins to doubt all she thought she had and wonders if the new life she's building is what she wants. Both Beckett and Eliza are desperately in need of space and independently go away to spend time at a luxury resort arranged by their families.

They meet at the resort and agree to eat together etc., but before they leave their feelings for each other deepen and they take the next step and spend the night together. But they are going home tomorrow and agree there can be no secrets but how do they tell their friends and family?

Once home the time comes for them to commit, but will they?

I loved the story, the characters worked so well together and are, as you would expect, very well developed and drawn.

The narration of the book by Emma Wilder and Aaron Shedlock do a wonderful job of bringing this book to life.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review

Loved Eliza and Beckett

Ever since hearing the clip, Broken in the Inked Persuasion audio, I was curious to see how Eliza's story would unfold. I was excited to see her healing and living life again. It was heartbreaking to learn that her marriage wasn't all that she thought it was, but she had her girlfriends and their families and her brothers to lean on, even when she found it difficult to ask for help. Beckett was such a sweetheart, and I loved how fiercely protective he was of Eliza.
Emma and Aaron are wonderful and did a great job bringing the main characters and various family members to life.

loved this story

This was such an emotional story. Eliza is a widow that is trying to find the right way for her to move on. She has obstacles thrown in her way that make her question everything. Then there is Beckett who also has something in his past he is trying to deal with. These 2 souls were meant to help each other start living their lives. Seeing the evolution of their relationship is so good. I was rooting for these 2 people. I loved the narrators for this book. They brought th echaracters to life and had me finding every opportunity to press play.

Fantastic 2nd book

Book 2 of Montgomery Fort Collins series by Carrie Ann Ryan
Eliza is newer members of the clang but fits in really well with other characters.
Eliza was married military man that was always away a lot of the time this is how she became friends with the Montgomery lot especially the women.
Beckett is a Montgomery and works in family architects/construction company. He is always had a thing for Eliza but has kept his distance because she was married to Marshal but when he died things changed he tried to keep his distance but that was very difficult.
Eliza and Beckett have all secrets that eventually they tell each other and were able to work through their issues.
The chemistry is off the charts I love the way relationship develops The romantic scenes are incredibly lovely and sexy at the same time.
I did listen to this as an audiobook and as always Carrie Ann Ryan does a amazing job writing but also Emma Wilder is a fantastic narrator so you can do both male and female accents and does it with a fantastic quality this is the first time I’ve listened to Aaron Shedlock And even though I did enjoy him as a narrator I won’t lie at the at times I did feel that Joe Arden does have a better job which is mean to say but he does and I absolutely love him.
Looking forward to more in the series cannot be Carrie Ann Ryan for romance book in any genre really hope that Joe Arden is in the future ones because I do love him

Brilliant

I knew reading the blurb that this book would be heartbreakingly beautiful. It went past every expectation and hope that I had for this book. The characters were so well developed and the back and forth with their emotions was so very believable. I loved this book and can’t wait for more
