Resumen del Editor

He has it together.
I’m falling apart.

I came to the City with the dream to make it on Broadway.

But instead of hitting it big, I couldn’t be at a bigger dead-end if I tried. I’m a receptionist at my little sister’s company and living with my grandfather. If it wasn’t for my family, I’d be destitute.

When Hunter Everhart walks into my office, my life goes from bad to humiliating.

He saved me on the worst night of my career. And for some reason, the big shot lawyer thinks he can actually fix my life.
But he’s only seen the veneer. There are so many cracks, I can’t let him get too close.
But for some reason when I’m with him, I feel something other than numb.
And I’m starting to believe that he would do anything for me...if I let him.
Even fall for me.

Fall for Me is an inspiring contemporary romance of finding love and starting over after your world has fallen apart. This pause-resisting love story will break and mend your heart as Willow and Hunter fall in love and fight to stay together. This is the first book in the Everhart Brothers series by USA Today best-selling author Claudia Burgoa.

Captivating and Emotional Romance!

This story swallowed me whole and wouldn't let go, even days after I finished reading it. It is so raw, powerful and poignant. I was captivated from the start and moved by the struggle these flawed characters live daily. They both want to find love, hoping it will heal them and make them normal. Yet they believe they aren't worthy of being loved and continually sabotage any potential relationships. That is until Hunter and Willow find each other. They wake something inside each other that allows them to feel safe and consider "what if?". What if I allow myself to be vulnerable for love? What if I am really worthy of true happiness? What if someone can see me at my lowest and still love me because of my flaws?
Ms Burgoa did a brilliant job in creating fascinating characters, and beautifully bringing them to life with empathy and honesty. I was enthralled with Hunter and Willows journey from the very first word. Their history on how they got to this point was compelling and heartbreaking. Yet their story is refreshing because they aren't your normal Hero & Heroine. They are unique and genuine in their own way. I love that Ms Burgoa did not cut corners but allowed us to experience every thought, and emotion that Hunter and Willow feel from their personal struggles to their explosive chemistry. Hunter and Willow are great together, allowing each other to imagine the future and giving each other the strength to fight for a future together. Their journey is so provocative, it held me captive with its raw and honest emotions. It is alluring and seductive and when the twists and turns happen, you definitely feel it all. I also loved the family members who were supportive, loyal and funny. I can't wait to read more about all of them.
I devoured this book when I read it, but listening to it made it even more breathtaking with Jeffrey Kafer, and Samantha Cook's wonderful narration. They do a great job evolving Hunter and Willow's touching relationship thru their rollercoaster journey making me feel all the angst, heartbreak, and passion they felt.
This is a gripping and emotional story of love, trust, healing, and sacrifice. It brought out so many extreme emotions and I loved every minute of it!

Fall for Me

I always love reading the first book in a new series from Claudia Burgoa. I know it'll be a great story but also an introduction to some of the characters who will make up the rest of the series.

Fall Into Me is Hunter and Willow's story. Their lives and relationship are not easy with the struggles they face. There are moments that are heartbreaking. However, this emotional story is also one of finding love and moving forward.

Great story, great characters, and great narration!

I can't wait to read/listen to the next book!

Loved it - Great story and great narration

I was so excited to dive into Fall For Me, book one in the Everheart Brothers series and if this book is anything to go on, then we are in for a fabulous ride.
There’s a fine line between love and hate and that is how Willow feels about Hunter Everhart initially I felt for both Willow and Hunter, they are both broken, the big question is can they overcome their pasts, move on and in doing so find happiness.
Their journey is rocky and emotional and at times I was brought to tears. There was so much emotion in this story that it brought out all the feels whilst I was reading. It is raw, gritty and at times subjects are dealt with that may be uncomfortable for some, but Ms. Burgoa handled it well with strong writing.
Ms.Burgoa is not afraid to write characters who are flawed and in doing so she has written a story that felt “real” and may well leave you with a book hangover. The love and support that they give to one another and the belief they have in each other was heartwarming.
Both Jeffrey Kafer and Samantha Cook are relatively new to me They did a good job with their narration and I found them easy to listen too. They did justice to the emotions that the characters expressed and brought the characters to life for me.

Painfully slow, repetitive and terribly depressing.

This was a tough story to get through. So many ups and downs and honestly, the end seemed slapped together like even the author was tired of the story. This should have come with lots of trigger warners. What a downer.

Terrific Story & Narration🎧 Riveting & Heartfelt!

This is the first book in the “Everhart Brothers” series and wow, what a start it is, Claudia Burgoa did not hold back and takes her readers/listeners on an emotional rollercoaster ride. The story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it the entire time. Some of the subject matter falls close to home for me, even after twenty years I struggle with what happened on that tragic day, September 11th, 2001, a day that in embedded in my heart and my mind, a day I wished never happened, a day I wished I could forget, but a day that should never be forgotten. The Everhart brothers lost their parents in the towers that day and it left them forever changed. This book is Hunter’s story, he was twelve years old then and he not only suffered from that devastating loss but it left him damaged. His older brothers did the best they could with him, but he still suffers from issues and they continued to look out for him despite that he became a successful lawyer. Willow Beesley moved to New York hoping to land a role on Broadway, though she hasn’t had her break yet but continues to work on smaller productions. And when her next project folds and her roommate moves out, it left her trying to figure out how she was going to pay her rent, even asking her sister, Hazel, to move in. Instead, Hazel tells her to take a job at Beesley Enterprises and to move in with their grandfather. Hunter met Willow the day she got the bad news about her play not happening, and he helped her more than he knew. She never expected to see him again after that day, so it surprised her to see him at Beesley Enterprises and that her sister knows him and his brothers. I loved all the layers of this beautifully written and heavily hearted plotted story. I say heavily hearted because of some of the subject matter including different mental health issues, Burgoa does a great job covering it all and keeping it real. There is never a dull moment in this book, it contains plenty of drama, both relationship and family, heartfelt emotions, some gut-wrenching moments and a romance that was definitely meant to be. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for this great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Jeffrey Kafer and Samantha Cook did a great job portraying the characters, humanizing them, capturing all their emotions and having you feel every single one. They took each role, ran with it and made their own, sounding believable in every role they played. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Understanding and Living with Mental Ilness

I read the ebook when it realized. I found it emotional to read at that time. Listening to the heartache and difficult emotions of the characters affected me muchly. Initially I questioned Willow 's insecurities and her emotional meltdowns but I understand her and her disorder as to why it will continue to be a battle for life.

Samantha Cook and Jeffrey Kafer were the perfect Willow and Hunter. Their voices and emotions captured the characters.

Great!

I don't know what it is about brothers and the series that this author come sup with. They're full of family, angst, sweetness, and steam. Hunter and Willow don't have an easy time but through the story you can't help but root for them because you can feel the connection.

The narrators do a great job of bringing the characters to life and have me more hooked on this series On to the next now!

TOO RAW.. MENTAL ILLNESS & EMOTIONAL BAGGAGE

After listening to book 3 and absolutely loving it, I preordered this and excitedly counted the days.. but I'm so disappointed because I just couldn't finish it. When Hunter was twelve both his parents died on 9/11 and it left him damaged with emotional baggage resulting in anxiety and crippling panic attacks. Willow and her sister were left with neighbors by their absentee parents who abandoned their young children which has also left her damaged.. she’s got a personality disorder, abandonment issues, trust issues, fluctuating feelings etc.. etc.. etc.

They meet on the street and for Hunter it's instant.. he wants to fix this crying woman.. but he has a long long uphill journey to climb before the very complex and cautious Willow will emotionally let’s him in. That doesn't stop Hunter from imagining all kinds of sexy scenarios from playing out in his head. Willow is emotionally all over the place, her moods fluctuates up then down, she pushes Hunter away then pulls him in, she second-guesses her feeling constantly and continually doubts his feelings for her and has abandonment issues as well. Which was hard going and I really didn't think these two characters were particularly well-suited.. however, I didn't finish the story so shrug maybe I missed the best part.

Worth a credit? For me, it’s a no because the mental illness on both sides was just too raw.. but it's deep, well-written, complex and probably filled with a lot of character growth. And I get it, that this is an emotional journey of two damaged tortured souls who struggle with their own, and each other’s, demons to be together, but it was just way too gritty, serious, sensitive, raw and emotionally fractured for me. However, you may love it. The dual POV by Samantha Cook was great but I personally didn’t like Jeffrey Kafer’s narration much.. or his female voice.
