Publisher's Summary

Five brothers in all but blood, five girls who love them, emerging from a past fraught with darkness and danger. There are wedding bells, and baby cries and laughter all around. They have found their happy ending.

Only one cloud is marring these blue skies, and it has to do with Zane, the rock of the brotherhood. Nobody knows exactly what is wrong, but here’s the thing, folks: There are five of us, and we stand all for one and one for all. If you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us. We protect our own.

And Zane is more than one of our own. He’s our leader. He’s our steady center. If our center shatters, we all shatter.

This Brotherhood is strong. We’re gonna find out what troubles him and put it to rest, once and for all, bury it, stomp on it, crush it, until it’s fixed or gone.

Time we celebrated our happy ending.

Note: Inked Babies is not a stand-alone. It is the epilogue to the Inked Brotherhood series. It is, however, a full-length novel with a happy ending. Warning for some dark themes.

5 Supernova Stars!!!!!

NOTE: This story, as said in the description, contains dark themes. Bottom line, it contains a story revolving around sexual abuse of a child. It wasn't super specific, but you are told that it definitely happened...and while it wasn't specific, it made me quite sad/ill/disgusted nonetheless. If you have a trigger reading that, I would be cautious reading this book.

STORY: PREFACE: This is the epilogue to the series of the "Inked Brotherhood" so if you haven't read those books, A-you're missing out, B-you'll be confused on quite a lot of characters coming at you at once, and C-you'll have spoilers galore hearing this one first! So read/hear those books first! :)

MAIN STORY: The story is told in Parts...and in 36 chapters (about 4-6 chapters per couple and 2-3 chapters per person/narrator)...full narration, no preview of a new book, so yay for that! PART 1-- TYLER AND ERIN; PART 2-- ASHER AND AUDREY; PART 3-- DYLAN AND TESSA; PART 4-- RAFE AND MEGAN; and PART 5--ZANE AND DAKOTA. Now, the side story that connects everyone revolves around the weddings that will be taking place between the engaged couples. We also get to hear about the babies that have been born, like baby Zane (I about died hearing someone named their baby after Zane!!!), baby Scott, etc... BUT THEN....we hear that Zane, our fearless leader throughout the books in this series and the Damage Control series, has been sliding back into his nightmares again. {{If you read Zane's book, you know that those issues weren't resolved or addressed 100%. It was mentioned, talked about a bit, and we got some clues, but never fully finished.}} Zane finally tells the memories he remembers, and they are beyond heartbreaking. I had some tears hearing his confession to the guys. Having read/heard Zane's book, you know he's been scarred on his back by a cigarette (fire) and knife wounds. Here, he tells you the rest of that...he was sexually abused. I cried and had a hard time hearing it at points. He doesn't go into heavy detail, but it is bad enough. The guys (AND gals) rally around him big time trying to find out if his memories are betraying him or if he's really gone through some hellish times and does remember what he went through. It would spoil it all to say much more, but be ready for a very interesting take on an epilogue! I was not prepared for this at all, but am pleasantly surprised.

The thing I found fascinating, and that I have found fascinating throughout this whole series is really the way the women have been such strong women. Jo Raven didn't just make them some sit back Suzy Homemakers. I LOVE that she didn't do that, and she made them really straight-up badass! They have had to deal with each of their men going through brutally hard times, and have loved them regardless. This was such a great series on a great group of guys, but a really great series on a group of strong women, too!

"To a damn good ending...yeah, I'll drink to that!" Zane's final words. <---Absolutely! Cheers!

NARRATION: NOTE--If you want a sample of each of these narrators, this is definitely a great book to hear them all. They all did really wonderful and I have no complaints! Tad Branson (TB)--TB was fantastic, as usual, as Dylan. It was sooo cute hearing TB talk about Dylan and his brothers again. I love that relationship, anyways, and TB narrated it super well! Abby Craden (AC)--AC did wonderful with Tessa again. I loved that narration from Dylan's audible book, so I was just happy to hear it again here too! Ava Erickson (AE)--AE was really great reading about Erin. Her and Teddy opened the book for the first 6 chapters or so and it started off perfectly! Teddy Hamilton (TH)--TH was great reading Tyler! I really want to get that audible book of "Tyler" for sure. TH had to read some hard parts, as Tyler wasn't sure if Zane was having correct memories or not...and also no one wants to believe their friend has gone through anything as horrific as what Zane was saying. It was sad, and TH does that very well in narrating! Anna Riordan (AR)--AR and SY close out the book. AR was great reading Dakota. Is she slow to read or is it just me? I have to put her on a 1.5 or higher, because she can be super slow. It's not like dragging, but it's just slower than others. That's all, but she's a great narrator! Sebastian York (SY)--SY was great at reading Zane. The parts where Zane is having the flashbacks and SY uses this creepy freaky throaty voice for the perpetrator made me just completely have the heeby-jeebies. It made it that much more disgusting and hard to listen....which is great, but still freaked me out. Erin Mallon (EM)--EM was great reading Megan. EM's male voice is just soo incredible! I mean, you can not tell that's EM reading the guy part...just great! Joe Arden (JA)--JA was great reading Rafe. I think JA had some hard parts to read, as he was reading Rafe being at the police station with Zane and that was sooo hard to hear. JA was reading Rafe being unable to do something for his friend who had just bared his soul, and self, and it just breaks you. Really great narration. Samantha Cook (SC)--SC was great at reading Audrey. I haven't bought Asher's audible book yet either, and definitely want to! C.J. Mission (CJM)--CJM was great at reading for Asher. I've only listened to CJM once before (reading "Seth" from the other series), but his narration is super good! Asher was Zane's advocate for quite a bit through this book, and CJM read that very well. CJM read Asher as not just the friend, but the brother to Zane...and it was really lovely!

CREDIT WORTHY: If you're following along with the series, YES, MOST DEFINITELY! If you want to listen to some incredible narrations, YES, MOST DEFINITELY! If you want an incredible book, YES, MOST DEFINITELY! This book is a YES all the way around!
