Ex-marine and former combat trainer Trent Reed has been shot and placed in war zones behind enemy lines for most of his Marine Corp career. But when his best friend, Logan, calls in a favor, he is faced with one of the hardest decisions of his life - to be or not to be the best man in his wedding.

His turbulent past with races other than his own have him at odds with Logan's new African American fiancée, Katie. When Trent accepts the position against his better judgment, it's done with a heavy heart and the understanding that his friend is soon to be out of his life - for good.

Teal Lofton is finally warming up to Logan, her best friend's fiancé and an ex-convict. As maid of honor in Katie's wedding, she will have to put up with budget issues, mind-numbing tasks, juggling the bride's secret pregnancy, and, worst of all, dealing with Logan's jerk of a best friend and best man.

When shit hits the fan during the groom's dinner and Trent disappears with the wedding rings in tow, Teal flips her lid and chases after him into the worst snowstorm of the decade. A serious accident sets Trent and Teal on an inevitable course of self-discovery and passion like they've never experienced before.

This was the first Inger Iversen book and I really like the story she told! Trent fell in love in high school. He gave his heart to a girl he trusted and she hurt him badly. He has a great distrust of women because of that. His best friend is getting married and he thinks it’s a mistake. He’s trued to convince him, but he won’t listen

Teal is the best friend of the bride, and she was against the wedding too, but has come to accept that it’s what her friend wants. She wants that spark.. that love.

A series of mishaps lead to a one night stand that leaves them both confused...

I really enjoyed the story in this book! It’s a good one.

Quiana Goodrum is a new narrator for me and I’ll need to hear another to form a tru opinion. But I thought she did a good job.

My first Inger Iversen book!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No i could get into the story because of the performance.

What did you like best about this story?

The characters

How did the narrator detract from the book?

she read the story way to fast like she was rushing to cut time.

Did Inevitable: Love and War inspire you to do anything?

Yes, to read the paperback

Any additional comments?

I really a story could be re-recorded cuz it sounds like a good story but it speed at which it is read really takes away from it.

New Narrator....or bring the other one!!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Inevitable: Love and War to be better than the print version?

I read the book before listening to the audio and I have to the audio version was very entertaining. Teal and Trent's personalities clashed from the moment they met, only to find out later that they were more alike than different. This led to a a fiery passion between the two of them that became harder to ignore the closer they became.

What did you like best about this story?

My favorite scene was when Trent and Teal could no longer deny the chemistry that was sizzling between them.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I enjoyed the narrator, although sometimes I think her performance of Logan and Trent was a little to overacting as far as the southern accent.went.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

First impressions are not always the best impressions.

Love at 3rd sight?

No. I preferred reading it on my own.mthe narration was not very good.

What did you like best about this story?

It is a unique and interesting story. I was intrigued to see how this author could possibly soften such a hard male lead.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Quiana Goodrum?

Not sure.

Did Inevitable: Love and War inspire you to do anything?

No

Any additional comments?

The accents were not very good, and the narration detracted from my overall enjoyment of this book.

Audiobook Narration Detracts From the Story

Great love story people decided not to follow the color line, but allowed them selves to love without condition despite their disappointing upbringing and self-esteem issues and all that theirs is a love the story

Intreracially charged
