I don’t think other books have a chance in comparison to this one. I enjoyed every second of this book.
Lori is a fantastic narrator.

Fun but few pet peeves

I enjoy sapphic romance of different kinds. Enjoyed many of Haley Cass’s other works as I did this one. My only real complaint is that it’s set in rural Tennessee and as someone who grew up in small southern towns and lived/work in Tennessee I found myself thinking that the characters who lived there would not say things and it lacked the southern charm and phrases. I just wasn’t convinced that it was characters that had grew up and lived in the south. The voice actor did a great accent and was helpful in bringing them to life.

Beautifully Written

I love Haley Cass' books, especially Those Who Wait. The character development of In the Long Run is unparalleled, heartfelt, and moving. My one dislike would have to be the length. This is an excruciating slow burn that can get a little repetitive, and the ending, because so drawn out, can be a little anticlimactic. Still, I enjoyed it very much, and these characters will remain with me for a long time to come.

Loved, Loved, Loved

Great writing. Great narration. Great characters. A story of approachable, likeable and complex characters whose differences challenge, confound and attract each other. Loved the book. Can't wait for the next.

The perfect narrator

I like Haley Cass' long long books, but this time I was especially happy to hear one read by this fabulous narrator.

Everything I never knew I wanted in a romance novel!

I have never enjoyed romance novels. However, this came up as a daily deal and I mindlessly skimmed the details, and something caught my attention; that this is a romance between two women. I decided it was worth the low price to check it out.
At first I just had it on in an earbud while driving my clients and before long I realized that I couldn’t get enough!
The narrator nailed it! From the slight southern accent to the voice variations and mannerisms of the characters, I found myself crushing kinda hard!
The story is long, but not unnecessarily so. Everything came together perfectly.

Apparently for my entire life (40 years) it wasn’t romance novels I had an aversion to, it was heterosexual romance novels that I detested. I have been attracted to women for as far back as I can remember (and have been married to one for 12+ years) and wasn’t ever able to read a romance that I could relate to.
I guess now I’ll have to give this genre another try!

I’ll also look for more books narrated by this woman, as well as written by this author.

Give it a chance, it may surprise you!

As usual, Haley Cass wrote a fantastic lesbian romance that kept me listening for hours on end!!! in the Long Run was a wonderful story!

This is a beautiful story about love, fear and surrender-willingness to be vulnerable. Impeccable narration by Anastasia Watley. She really brought the characters to life.

great book and story

really enjoyed this one! the length allowed for a lot of development. narration was great and description was so clear I actually had a dream about the characters!
