He was my best friend before he was my enemy.

I’m a nobody at Black Falls High.

When the school’s mean queen forces me to my knees in front of the student body, everything changes.

Now, I’m back on my former best friend’s radar.

And this time, he has his new crew and “no” isn’t part of their vocabulary.

When a night out puts me in a compromising position, I’m at their mercy. If they don’t keep my secret, it could destroy more than my friendship.

They own me.

And my former best friend is making it his mission to ruin me.

But not if I ruin them first.

In Ruins is a #whychoose romance with four hot-as-fire guys. Due to dark content, this audiobook is recommended for 18 and older.

Whoa! I was skeptical about this being a high school book but I went through the whole story in one sitting! It gripped me literally from the first chapter and never let up. It keeps leaving you wondering what is going to happen, and you know its going to be bad but you aren't sure how its going to play out exactly. There was of course all the high school themes- mean girl and her crew, jocks, and other stereotypes. But it was done in a way that didn't feel like I was reading about immature people. I disliked alot of characters, but that angst kept me going. There is alot of talk of sex but there isn't alot of it in this book, I'm sure the RH stuff will come. I'm looking forward to jumping right into book 2, and then I know anxiously waiting until book 3 comes out. I cant wait to see some groveling :)

better than anticipated

I usually won’t get a book unless all of them are released but I didn’t know it was a series I am so mad I freaking hate cliffhangers. When is the next one coming out ????????

Wtf Cliffhanger 😡

I’ve already read all of the book in the Chaos Universe, so I decided to start over with the audiobooks and I was not disappointed! The beginning of the story with Rosie and her horsemen is filled with ups and downs but I loved every minute! The cliffhanger ending is giving “who’s afraid of little old me? Well you should be” 😉

The beginning of an obsession

in Ruins by K.G. Reuss was a dark, addictive, and incredibly entertaining start that kept me turning pages nonstop. Rosalie is a nobody at Black Falls High until a public humiliation changes everything and puts her back on the radar of her former best friend, Fox—except he’s no longer the person she once trusted. The bully romance elements are intense, and if that trope isn’t for you, this book will not be a good fit; the content is heavy and readers should definitely check trigger warnings. Emotionally, I was fully invested in Rosalie and often frustrated on her behalf, especially watching her deal with Juliette and the power dynamics at school. I also couldn’t understand how Fox could go from best friend to tormenter so quickly, which made their tension both compelling and infuriating at the same time. The Four Horsemen brought an intriguing layer to the story with their charm and mystery, and I’m very curious to learn more about them moving forward. One character in particular was truly disturbing and hard to read, which added to the darker tone. The ending was heartbreaking and left me angry, shocked, and desperate for the next book. Overall, this was a spicy, dramatic, emotionally intense read, and while it won’t be for everyone, it absolutely hooked me.

At first I really wasn’t into the story. The MC was whiny but I figured out that it was the narrator portraying her like that. After I got pst that the story line picked up and the MC became spunkier. Interested to see what happens in book two!
