Raw & Real

I absolutely love Joe Picket so perhaps I am biased, but this is is a extremely well read audio book, the listener can hear the pain and emotion that only David Chandler can display. The story itself is intense, real and super raw. It is graphic and cutting edge. I highly recommend!! A++

Another satisfying C.J. Box tale

One of C.J. Box's best.

Rich lady rancher disappears leaving three wild and nutso sons, thought-dead foster daughter's real daddy comes to the area to avenge the crimes of Winterkill, Sheridan Pickett once again in the middle of it all, family featured prominently - this has all the best ingredients of C.J. Box's plotting, and is more realistic than the previous two in the series. The plot also sets up circumstances for future plots and draws us further in to the Pickett family.

Really a great listen

Would you consider the audio edition of In Plain Sight to be better than the print version?

The way the author can discribe the simplest things for a eletric heater to the dust created by a spooked Pronghorn. C.J.Box makes the book very educational, very entertaining and suppensfull. Can't to listen to the next in the series. Recomend highly if you like to hunt and fish or concerned with the issues of saving the wilderness.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes, Nate adds an edgy side to the story

Which character – as performed by David Chandler – was your favorite?

Nate,

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes if possible. A great traveling book. Still great to listen in 10 to 20 minute intervals if you can shut it off. I will wait in my parking stall to hear what happens

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend it . The way he describes the sun, wind, light and feeling of the environment is amazing.

Good series, EXCELLENT narration

I hate that Joe P is such a pansy so often. I wish he would speak up for himself more often instead of letting people treat him like dirt. I positively DESPISE Missy the idiot sheriff Kyle Mc (how did people ever elect him anyway?!) and this Randy Pope creep. I think MaryBeth should speak up more FOR Joe when her skank mom runs him down. She is pure evil and trash ....

In a word … suspenseful !!!!

This the 6th book in the C.J. Box Joe Picket series. I don't think I can rate any of them as my favorite because they are all so good. But "In Plain Sight" kept me on the edge of my seat and listening for hours after I should have stopped and gone to bed. It is so suspenseful and David Chandler (the narrator) does such a great job by changing voices for different characters and his style helps make the book so thrilling and suspenseful. I'll probably list to this one again … it was THAT GOOD!!!

Modern Day Lone Ranger

CJ Box has created an amazing protagonist with his creation of Joe Pickett, the Wyoming Game Warden who oversees Twelve Sleep County. With his gritty and suspense filled storytelling with the backdrop of the Mountain West, readers will be able to be pulled in to a place with a pace much slower than their own, but the secrets are just as deep and seedy.

The narrator needs to work on his Southern accent.

I like the narrator in this series, but as a Southerner, his accent is lacking. I've never met anyone with an accent like that.

This Review Needs A Title...So, I Gave it One

Joe Pickett is such a man's man. Novel is well paced and does not loose your interest. C.J. Box has added several facets that make Joe's life interesting: mother in law, boss, co workers all add drama. Great edge of your seat story. Characters are not new, but embellished somewhat. Fun read, I liked it.
