Professional narration is needed!!!
This series has great promise, however the narration is not good. I enjoy many of the characters, the storyline is engaging, but the narration is killing it for me. I wish these authors would understand that they should leave the narration to the pros- it makes a world of difference.

Truly awful narration
I had to stop listening to this and return it because I couldn’t stand the droning, repetitive way it was read.
The narrator uses the same intonation for every sentence no matter what it says.
I’m sure the book is good, but it needs a better reader.

I think I would have enjoyed this better if I had read the book, rather than listened to it on Audible. The story was engaging, but I think it would have been better with another narrator, as I found her quite dull and monotone.

Good enjoyable crime story
Overall an enjoyable story, well written with good plot lines. The main characters are all a little too good to be true. Even the more slightly unpleasant ones have a good sides! Slightly unrealistic but not enough to stop me listening to the next one.

A real page turner if there were pages to turn! The characters feel like real people, the story entertaining and a little different to the norm which is welcome when I listen to so many books.

Fantastic!
Very well balanced characters and true equality within that. The main character is human and so is everyone else. No dumbed down men to make the women look better. What the author has created is a working team. Fully functioning, realistic characters, who all have pivotal roles that prove their importance in being a part of that team.
I also love that the author reads the book herself. Brilliant!
This is book 2 in the series, and I am about to buy the third.
