Sorta Amazing.

Overall this is Really well written, but I would compare it to a well made Alfa version of a game, the setting, the mechanics, the story are all done really well, but overall it lacks content. A lot of questions are answered with just ‘game logic’. And out of the 9+ hours of play time at least a full 1/3 is description of people and things, or some massive exposition dump. And another 1/3 is dedicated to the opening,

What should’ve taken 3-4 novels was craned into just one, so the MC is basically just jumping from boss fight, to boss fight. The build up is just glossed over and you never really get a sense for how dangerous the enemy is supposed to be, so their never really feels like their are any stakes in the table. It’s like the author realized they spent way to much time building the outside world and had to cram something together for wean we finally got in the game.

The setting is one of my favorite, it’s a fairly (if not completely) Unique take on an isekai. And using a clever cover to built directly into the story to allow the author to effectively power-boost/retcon the MC with an in book cannon justification. I don’t particularly care for it, but it fits, and works well.

the MC playing the villain is not original but it is somewhat rare. With a fun juxtaposition on the hero and villain. With the MC caring more about the innocent NPC’s he’s robing than the hero’s trying to stop him.

my main praise for this is the characters. Their well written for the most part, and the writer sticks to their characters outline in behavior (which is apparently really hard because I’ve found vary few authors who can do that). No one dose something out of place ‘because plot’ the Mc doesn’t do something blatantly stupid ‘because plot’. The MC is supposed to be a clever, intelligent, problem solver, with a serious knack for adaptation, And He Is those things! … than again, a lot of what happens in the book is glossed over or ‘yada yada’ed into the corner as unimportant.

no breaks on this one

dam this is a breath for fresh air. frist time in awhile that I've read a story where the char is a villain. even longer sense I've enjoyed a mc who actually thinks! 11/10 now I got to debate going to read book 2 or wait for the next audiobook.

good with issues

why do so many authors nowadays resort to harem novels?
you take a good story that has a reasonable set of characters and of course you have to throw in little boys wish fulfillment.
this cheapens the book and makes it uncomfortable to read when you hit those parts.
a quarter of the way into a good super villain superhero book you get slammed with the character suddenly having a overcharge labito, and 50 Shades of Gray stupidity....
I wanted to see how the plot line went so I went ahead and listen to the rest of it even though I skipped forward whenever they were having the sex play.
sad really that you decided to throw that into an otherwise good experience .

Good for a book inspired by a pop song

A rather refreshing book with a villain pov reminiscent of super sales on super heros but in my opinion better. I hope the next book comes out soon.

The narration in this is a work of art.

Let's get to the facts: Over powered main character. Made me *actually* laugh a few times. Unique story. LitRPG elements. A lot of 'handwavium'. Those are all pluses for me, but they might not be for you.

The story is a 5/5 for me. The NARRATION IS AMAZING. 6/5. Over 500 audiobooks and mostly LitRPG and this has taken the #1 spot for best Narration of LitRPG. When you hear Crazy Kane for the first time, you'll understand.
