Entertaining!

This is the fourth book in the Mafia Wars Ireland Series, a dark mafia romance. I loved Tynan and Maeve's enemies to lovers romance. Maeve is a beautiful character, smart, and strong. Tynan is enigmatic, and protective. The story is entertaining, filled with suspense, and twists and turns. Aaron Shedlock and Felicity Cole did an excellent job bringing these characters, and this story to life.

Dark Mafia Romance

Illicit Monster by Maggie Cole is a dark mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Felicity Cole. This is the fourth book in the Mafia Wars Ireland series.

I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Tynan and Maeve. I loved the push and pull between them. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Aaron and Felicity did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for a dark romance, mafia romance, enemies to lovers romance, age gap romance, or arranged marriage romance.

I can't believe this series is over 😔

Maggie Cole delivers again a great story full of banter, sexiness, betrayal, emotion and self discovery. I loved Tynan and Maeve even if this girl sometimes was getting on my last nerve 😤 how many times you can take s*it from a parent just because you love them but I'm glad she had Tynan such a protective alpha and we love all heroes in Maggies book because of it. I was hooked from the beginning and Felicity Foster &Aaron Shedlock did an incredible job bringing this story to life. I had no idea Aaron could do an Irish accent but call me impressed. This book is a standalone but the whole series is interconnected so for the best enjoyment I recommend listening in order.

Sheer Perfection- Pleasurable, Fun, Flirty,

These narrators captured the essence of these amazing characters in every sense of the word! Tynan and Maeve’s story is filled with hilarious banter and it is captured perfectly by Aaron Shedlock & Felicity Foster.

Tynan will do anything for Maeve but he doesn't want her to know how much she means to him just yet, so he provides just enough to keep her happy but he's not sure how to love but she's making him thoroughly enjoy making her his wife! Aaron captures the essence of Tynan and his strong sense of protection, passion, and desire for his new bride. Tynan is an easy character to love and he's hilarious. His sense of humor and pride for his family comes through perfectly in this audio book.

Felicity captures everything that makes Maeve such an amazing woman. She is smart, headstrong, and loyal to those around her. She may have never chosen Tynan but she's slowly seeing that she can't live without him. There is so much chemistry between them that it jumps off the page and this duel narration is no different. You will thoroughly enjoy their story and this is a perfect ending to a phenomenal series! Happy Listening!!

Panty Thief

Pride. Ego. Stubbornness. Whatever you want to call it, these two have it in spades. Oh, dear Lord, do they! 😂

Maeve Fitzpatrick and Tynan O'Connor have nearly two decades separating them, but they are well matched in many ways. I love how she gets things over on him, and how he takes every minute of it. Their unending game of truth or dare is entertaining, frustrating, and all kinds of wicked. 😉

The scene at the club is insanely hot! That'll be inspiring fantasies for some time, make no mistake. 🔥🍆🍑💦🔥

The moment she begins to truly reconcile the man she wants to believe her da is and the reality of his decisions is heartbreaking. It's a position no child should ever be in.

One da leads to another. I love how Tully shows Maeve fatherly affections without forcing it. All of the O'Connor women are cherished in that way. It's awesome.

Adding audio for this book was a great plan! I'm so glad I did it. The frantic pace at key moments really comes through when there are fewer interruptions as I often have when reading. You know, the benefits of earbuds allowing the story to continue as life activities require addressing.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators, Aaron Shedlock and Felicity Foster, are exactly as I'd hoped and expected with their Irish accents and overall cadence. Just fantastic! Duet narration is the only thing that could've made the experience better.

More Mafia Wars Greatness~Amazing Story & Listen🎧

Maggie Cole pens another fantastic novel set in her “Mafia Wars Ireland” series. I am loving this Mafia world she created, from the original series featuring the Russians and then the Irish, set in Chicago, to the New York mafia families and then to Ireland with the rivalry between the O’Connor and the O’Leary clans. This fourth book is Maeve Fitzpatrick and Tynan O’Connor’s story. We met Maeve in an earlier book and she had gotten herself in trouble because of her loser of a father, though she redeemed herself in the end. Her father continues his bad habits and builds up another gambling debt. When it is time for him to pay his debt, he has nothing to pay them and, as usual, he depends on Maeve to bail him out. And this time, the only thing he could use as payment was her, and she had to go along with it to save her father’s life, and that is how she married a monster. Tynan was the debt collector and since his father wanted him to marry, he thought Maeve would do. It was great to watch these two navigate their new relationship. I thought they were great together and for each other. The chemistry between them was electric, and she gave as good as she got, learning quickly how to play him and get her way. As always, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. The story has the perfect balance of drama, angst, action, twists and turns, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. It was great to see some familiar faces from earlier books too. Maggie Cole, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride. 

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Aaron Shedlock and Felicity Cole do a wonderful job bringing these characters to life and the story to life. They had a complete understanding of the characters they were portraying, giving each a voice that was fitting and believable, accents and all. Shedlock and Cole’s voices and performance complimented each other’s. Shedlock nailed it as Tynan, playing the perfect bad arse alpha boss. Cole played Maeve’s role with perfection too, grasping every aspect of her persona. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen. 

Mafia Wars

I liked this a lot. It was a surprise. Of course the story was great. The performance was really good too. But I did miss the really "bad" guys.
