After failing at 22 other jobs, Barbara Corcoran borrowed $1,000 from her boyfriend, quit her job as a diner waitress, and started a tiny real estate office in New York City. Using 24 unconventional lessons learned from her mom, Barbara built that tiny company into a $4 billion business, and today she's richer than her wildest childhood dreams.

Barbara's hilarious stories and her mom's pithy advice (from "If you want to be a cheerleader, you better know the cheers" to "Jumping out the window will make you either an ass or a hero") are bound to inspire greatness in any reader. This national best seller (previously titled Use What You've Got) will make you feel better about yourself and teach you to look at obstacles in a whole different way.

One of the most enjoyable and inspiring audiobooks I've listened to. It was the perfect companion on a long drive because it allowed for time to brainstorm ways to apply the thoughts and ideas the author talked about to my own business. I think that being read by the author also makes it more enjoyable because you can really hear her personality and passion come alive.

Enjoyable and Inspiring!

I really enjoyed Barbara’s story and hearing how she applied her mother’s lessons as she made it to the top. It was way more intriguing to hear her tell it in her own words with her own inflection and enthusiasm. Bravo!

Her narration is fantastic

I really got a lot out of this story. I also love the fact that Barbara read the story herself.
