Series gets better with each new book...

If She Hid is and excellent procedural. This series continues to get better with each new addition to the series. While the series started out very light this book takes on a more solemn feel. The writing is good and the characters are familiar to me (since this is book four) however this series is generally plot based without a whole lot of character development. The publisher's summary gives a very good overview so I don't want to give the story away by expounding on it. The protagonist is a 56 year old retired FBI agent who has returned to work on an as needed basis. Quinn Francis does an excellent job narrating. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Finally !

I've read several Detective/murder mystery books from this author, and this is the first one th at didnt do the tired "You're off the case!" bit that he seems to do in most of his writing. this one feels more like book one, but with established characters. my favorite one this far! liked the voice actress, but gave her 4 stars for several times where she stpped and reread sentences.
