DARK ~ DRAMA-FILLED ~ SUSPENSEFUL & MY KRYPTONITE

Well Ms Knight, you sure didn’t hold anything back with this second compelling book in your thrilling and chilling dark Duet.. it ends in happily ever afters, but wow.. wow.. wow this couple had to go through some rough and dangerous times getting there. It’s ALL action, full stream, high octane drama and intrigue that doesn’t slow as the well-written unique plot leads you down some unexpected dark alleys.. alleys where evil monsters slither waiting for another innocent soul to sell. And gripped it had me.. shocked and intrigued I definitely was.. and I held my breath as I rooted for the changed hero to save the day again and again whilst telepathically sending him encouragement and mentally giving a strong heroine a high-five for every time she stands back up and for every single deserved blow she manages to give back.

As Scarlett and Cristiano became closer in the previous book, their unwanted attraction turned to flames which burned red hot, changed a predator and his captive and they both fell in love. But, in this book, betrayal has ripped Scarlett away from Cristiano’s side.. now he’s a possessive protective husband, an enraged destructive force on a mission. A blinded by rage mission to get his stolen wife back.. no matter the cost to himself. Cristiano’s revenge to seek the monster who killed his Mother, and to find out what the cryptic last words were whispered in her ear before her throat was cut in front of his eyes, has been Cristiano’s only focus in life for so long.. until Scarlett. Worth a credit? It was a tense and thrilling story.. there’s sex and passion, shivers and suspense and love does eventually conquer all.. it’s my kryptonite and yes, it’s very creditworthy. Great dual POV narration too by Kai and Wen which brings it all to life and makes a very exciting and enjoyable five star listen. But warning❗️.. this is a dark story and there’s a brutal back-door rape scene.

AMAZING! Cant wait for Dunte's book!

I was a bit annoyed to have to buy the 2nd book to finish the story but it was worth it!!

Scarlett and Cristiano - part 2

Cristiano has now become a protective husband who is falling in love with his wife. Big trouble is on the horizon with his family. Cristiano has to be forced to open his eyes to see it and who. Hopefully Scarlett will redeem him but she is taken again. This book was darker than the first book and has a lot of suspense. They had to fight really hard for their happily ever after. There needs to be another book to catch up with this couple and Dante. It would also be nice to find out what happens to Maura. Wen Ross and Kai Kennicott did a great job with the narration.

Such a good duet! I expect nothing less from Natasha. Love Wen Ross any time he narrates I’m locked in!

OK story.

There was predictability with future events, some immediate. There were alot of missed opportunities to enhance the story with amounts of time just skipped over that could have helped create a better story with more detail. It was plain. Fairly linear without unforseen 'I didn't see that coming' moments. Some characters mentioned frequently, almost over emphasized so you knew what to expect. Not as creative as I hoped from this author. There were moments that I was quite disappointed much effort wasn't given to the characters ability to plan and think the situation thru, as though they were beginning mobsters/criminals who had NO past influence/experience. And what exactly were they doing to be successful monetarily while waiting to extract revenge and find out what his last words were to her??...something mentioned with frequency that when revealed, was just a moment of,..
finally it's been said. So much lead up it was almost anticlimactic. I'm a big fan of mafia romance and will give this author another try as many have recommended her work. And I have enjoyed her collaborative work, perhaps I'll go that route. The female narrator helped with this story.

Great conclusion

This was a great conclusion to this duet. There was so much suspense and getting revenge. Some of the big problems were not solved which I hop will come in a new series staring Dante. Scarlett and Christianos once they said those key words to each other it’s was over for everyone else.

Couldn't have ended this book more perfectly. What about the brother. Is there a book to follow?

Love the love

I don’t love this much separation of a couple in a romance novel, even dark mafia romance. I would have preferred shorter portions of angst, but hey - that’s this sort of genre so it’s probably just me. Christiano is an amazing hero .... love his character 100%

Good second part but....

This book took alot of twist and turns. The end of the story felt rush and unfinished. What happened to Elizabeth? Is Dante going to recovery and look for Elizabeth? I hope there will be another book in Dante POV. Overall a good listen it just lost me at the end.

This is this the 2nd book. You must read Book 1. - With This ring THIS Thank you Natasha! You had me crying, laughing, angry, most of the time I held my breath ! I needed that ending, it really made me believe in goodness. They deserved what you gave them. Love and Happiness! lol. I needed it after that Rollercoaster ride. Thank you for that! AMAZING!

Full on drama

It's difficult to find another author who can load a story with tension, drama, action, and romance like Ms Knight does. The icing on the cake is the superb dual narration by Kennicott and Ross, who voice the words with soul and passion. Seat belt required.

book 2: Great story 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I really enjoyed the story and the characters. The story has great depth and detail. The twists and turns will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. You won't be disappointed with this book.

Brilliant

WOW great conclusion to Christiano and Scarlett 's story. This duet was a sexy thrilling fast paced whirlwind with twists you certainly didn't see coming. The narration is superb they make the book twice as good, I think narration can definitely make the book. I was sorry that its finished. Can't wait for Dante and Mara's story and hopefully the end of slimey Felix but I'm not giving any spoilers because it will ruin the books for you. I can definitely say that this was one terrific listen and have thoroughly enjoyed both books and looking forward to more, more, more.

What a story. after reading the first part, I just couldnt wait to get this part as well. I am not going to give anything away...But yiu would be NUTS to miss this 100%
