Publisher's Summary

I Kissed an Earl is another installment in rapidly rising star Julie Anne Long's sensual and emotionally charged Pennyroyal Green series, centered around the longstanding feud of the wealthy Eversea and Redmond families of Pennyroyal Green, Sussex. I Kissed an Earl absolutely brims with romance, adventure, and, of course, intense passion, as a beautiful, willful Regency lady searching for her lost brother stows away on a sailing ship - and ends up enchanting the vessel's highborn, hard-headed Captain.

Contains mature themes.

Loved it!

This was a very enjoyable book, both Violet and Asher were likable characters and I appreciated the honesty between them with the exception of some subterfuge. The voyage across the sea was entertaining although a lady of that time was unlikely to have accommodated so well. As much as I love Justine Eyre she stumbled across more than a few words in this story which was surprising,I even laughed at Beezbub”

Awesome 2nd-6th in series

Narration was great. Justine Eyre has been a slow acquired taste for me as I really hated her voice in the past but with time and finding a good speed to listen to her with ( usually .95x) I've come to actually really love her.

This review is for the 2nd through 6th in series. Highly enjoyed all these and recommended!

awesome series

I've enjoyed listening to Justine Eyre's performance of this series. Historical romance with a light mystery. I'm waiting on the rest of this series.

Wow, what a story

I take it all back, this is the best in the series. I really don’t see how anything else could top how much I enjoyed it. It’s such a well paced, well written adventure/love story. Justine Eyre’s accents are shockingly good this time around! Violet is such a magnificently complex female character and Asher definitely is the stock she needs in a life partner. Highly, highly recommend this one! Can’t wait for the rest of the series to be available on Audible UK.

One of the best in the series

I really enjoyed this one in the series. After reading some of the reviews I was expecting to be irritated by Violette but I very much enjoyed the whole story.
Justine Eyre always does a wonderful performance in these styles. 5/5
