Good story but frustrating

The story is good and there are lots of twists and turns. These types of stories do frustrate me because the main character seems to let the turmoil around her happen without properly standing up for herself until the end. All in all, great book with an interesting story. Worth a listen for sure! Can’t wait to see future works from this author!

So many suspects

Aggie Blum Thompson is quickly becoming one of my favorite mystery/thriller writers. Her neighborhood mysteries are filled with the typical people who might live in a cul de sac, women who are friends and frenemies yet never tropish.

Someone is gaslighting Ally. Someone who knows about her past “relationship” with her high school photography teacher. Someone who has access to Ally’s photographs, her secrets, the intimate details of her marriage.

Could her former teacher be out for revenge for losing his job? His wife? The sister-in-law who never wanted Ally to marry her brother. What about her supportive husband who suddenly doesn’t believe anything she says? Maybe one of her neighborhood friends isn’t as friendly as she seems.

I had so many theories and suspects in I DON’T FORGIVE YOU, all could have had plausible motives. The culprit both was and was not surprising.

Good mystery

I am glad I listened. The main character did test my patience at times, I found her choices so frustrating. I had to remind myself that trauma has a lasting effect, even when the victim denies any trauma occurred. So, her behavior was likely an accurate representation. And, I , too, found the child annoying. But, young children can be annoying! The story kept me guessing.

this author is fantastic at keeping you guessing

it does stress you out when listening, you really feel for ally. Aggie is so good at the twist and turns. this is my second listen from her and I am officially a fan. very entertaining
