Publisher's Summary

This audiobook includes an interview with Ozzy Osbourne from 2009.

People ask me how come I'm still alive, and I don't know what to say. When I was growing up, if you'd have put me up against a wall with the other kids from my street and asked me which one of us was gonna make it to the age of 60, with five kids and four grandkids and houses in Buckinghamshire and California, I wouldn't have put money on me, no f--king way. But here I am: ready to tell my story, in my own words, for the first time.

A lot of it ain't gonna be pretty. I've done some bad things in my time. But I ain't the devil. I'm just John Osbourne: a working-class kid from Aston, who quit his job in the factory and went looking for a good time.

Laugh Out Loud & BEST Narration EVER!

I absolutely LOVE this book. It is a well told genuine look into Ozzy's career and private life. I appreciate the candid honesty. I admire how Ozzy is comfortable with being true to himself, even at the White House. A lot of famous peoples memoirs only scratch the surface of their scandal's in effort to protect their reputation. The scandals are usually the reason I buy the book so it's a let down when celebrities sugar coat the truth. Not Ozzy, he lays it all out there and I respect that. Plus, this is the BEST narration. The narrator even sounds just like Ozzy... without the stammer.

Lost all respect at the end

Anyone who grew up listening to Sabbath and Ozzy knew the guy was out there but, wow! I've always loved their music and always will even though Ozzy's stories tend to make him sound like the poor, hapless victim. Sure, he takes ownership of the crap he pulled but does it in such a way that leaves the listener feeling like, yeah, no, he really doesn't. I only watched a couple episodes of The Osbourne's because I don't like reality ruining my image of my favorite Rock legends. Wish I hadn't listened to this book either, for the same reason. I didn't need to know about Ozzy's or Lemmy's thing for Nazi memorabilia. I can take all the gross crap he did but that pushed me over the edge. No room for anyone that finds ANYTHING admirable about Nazis.

terrible narration

I would have loved the book had it not been for the terrible narration and audible wouldn't allow me to refund or exchange the book so I'm stuck with it. tried to "gift" it away and audible wants me to pay for it again to do that. I can't even delete it from my library so I stop seeing it. Totally unimpressed.

Do NOT Listen To This While Driving...

Seriously. I nearly crashed multiple times. At some point you laugh so hard you become, quite involuntarily, unable to see. This is among the funniest things I’ve ever heard. A scatological tour de force. You WILL soil your armour...

The narrator is AWFUL!!

This book really is brilliant, but the fact that the narrator put on what is the worst accent I’ve ever heard makes this totally pointless and unlistenable... real shame as I was looking forward to this

Great listen!

Absolutely love Ozzy and considering he was born five minutes away from my house, I really don’t recognise the accent on this audiobook 😩😂

Only downside to a brilliant autobiography.

If you like Witt and a story about drugs, fame rock and roll then this will be the best ever, by far this book is the best to laugh out loud. I can’t suggest it enough. I be listening again. Well done Ozzy and sharron I love you. I hope you all are well and happy. Reminds me of similar issues.

Banging

An extremely humorous look at Ozzy's crazy train of a lifestyle over the past decades. From his humble beginnings to luxury houses in california.

I'm sure plenty is missing from this but I really enjoyed it.

I enjoyed the narrator who captured the brummie accent and Ozzy's idiosyncrasies extremely well.

Awesome book

I was a bit on the fence about getting this book but so glad I did! Highly entertaining, the stories are hilarious and the narrator does an amazing job! I found myself making excuses to go on 1.5 hr walks just so I could listen to the audio book, it's very addictive! :)

Wild story from Legend

Been a sabbath and ozzy fan all my life and to get the story from his perspective is so refreshing to what i normally get from docos and interviews which in hindsight where far from the real story. Narrator was all time aswell, next best thing to the man himself

A slow start

The first half was a little slow, but still interesting. The second half, though, was fantastic. It really does make you wonder how the hell he's still alive. And the love that he and Sharon have for each other is amazing. Well worth a read for fans and non-fans alike

A Rollercoaster

This was a surprise. I am not a massive Black Sabbath fan and didn't know what to expect. It really had a bit of everything,: tragedy, entertaining, love, hate, sad, fun etc. You will find this book a rollercoaster of every emotion. It's well worth the ride whether you are a fan or not.
